"So, Caleb, right?"

It's his fault that I'm stuck telling him what is where in the ever so prestigious Lanceford Academy instead of hanging out with Saph and the rest of the gang.

He gives me a nod. "What's it to you, princess?"

The kid- I mean Caleb- glowers at me with green eyes from under a blonde mop of hair. Think a Percy Jackson-Jason Grace hybrid but without the muscles.

I'll give him an eight on the glare, but according to the Lanceford glare-o-meter, mine is a perfect, evil ten.

I'll give him a demonstration.

I blinked, and gave him an evil glare that made blondie hiss in irritation.

"I'm Lilith Winters," I stated, smiling coolly. "Also known as the ice princess of Lanceford, resident smartass, and most importantly... I'm the head bitch in charge."

"Not much people if they let you be in charge,"

"Well, I'm in charge of you, so shut it, blondie."

"Caleb."

"What?"

"My name is Caleb."

Well, I knew that of course, but isn't it fun to infuriate the new kid?

"This is the music room," Lilith pointed to a mahogany door. "It's where my friends and I jam, so don't go in there on ANY Tuesday, from four to six P.M. Got it?"

"Why?" I smirked. "What if I want to meet your pretty friends?"

She pulled her lips into a sneer. "They wouldn't want to meet you, blondie."

That was... Insulting, to put it lightly.

"You're such a great welcoming committee!" I snapped. "Who the hell do you think you are?"

Lilith frowned at me. "You're lucky I'm your guide, Caleb. There are a lot of people who aren't as nice as me."

"If you're nice, I dread to meet the mean," I replied, scowling.

"Well," she pinned her hair up, then gave me a look composed of ice and diamonds. "Example uno,"

Lilith gestured to another pair down the hall.

An older guy in a similar uniform to the one Lilith was donning (Lilith was wearing a pleated black skirt, knee-high socks, a long-sleeved white blouse with a black cardigan with a 'W' family crest on it) but in pants had punched the smaller boy.

"James!" Lilith snarled.

James, a.k.a. the older guy snapped his head to look at Lilith. "Oh, hey Winters. Isn't he cute?" He gestured to the kid he had punched with thin arms.

"Be nice," my guide said through gritted teeth, her eyes narrowed. "I won't report you to the dean, but I can assure you that Druella will not be happy."

"Yeah, Druella won't be happy!" the small kid said.

James sighed, gave Lilith a single nod, and my guide dragged me down another hall.

"I can see what you mean by head bitch," I say helpfully, raising my blonde eyebrows in amusement.

Lilith brushed off her skirt, and I studied her a bit more.

She was white. There was no other word for it. Long black hair tumbled to her waist, and there was something mischievous and coy about the shape of her face.

"That James guy seems like a douche," I mutter, looking at my companion to see her reaction.

She shook her head. "He's a good friend."

I just put my foot in my mouth, didn't I.

A small laugh from Lilith. "James is just giving the welcome tour as it was given to him. Don't worry about it."

"Then why did you stop it?"

"The kid, his name is Max. He's my friend's little brother,"

"Drew...?"

"Close enough, but not quite. Her name is Druella."

I shrug.

"Just pay attention, blondie, and maybe I'll introduce you to my friends." Lilith gave me a smirk and showed me the rest of the school.
