What If... [PDH] [APHMAU] [DISCONTINUED]

[This is the last of the 4k words I'd already written for this before deciding to publish it here, so from now on chapters will take a while and be published as such. Hopefully they'll be longer, too.]

    "Hey Dad?" Ein asked, "Can I go to the park with a friend?"

"Sure, just be back by nine at the latest. Also good on you for making friends before the first weekend!" Zack said. Ein grinned, leaving through the front door.

He ran to the nearby park, he was meeting up with Laurence to hang out.

He got there first, awkwardly pulling on the bottom of his shirt. He was jumpy, glancing around everywhere for Laurence.

Laurence came into view, wearing what Ein thought was the cutest striped sweater, and black skinny jeans to compliment it.

"HI!" Ein called, running up to him, blushing.

"Hey Ein." Laurence smiled.

They walked, Laurence laughing and Ein chatting away. The park was pretty busy, so they weaved through crowds of people.

"Excited for the soccer meet on Monday?" Laurence asked.

"Y-Yeah!" Ein said.

It was the end of the second month of school, and Aphmau had a lot going for her. She was doing great on the soccer team, loving Anime club, doing good in classes, and making tons of new friends.

She messaged FC often about all of this, and he listened.

Aphmau was starting to have a bit of a werewolf problem. Ever since she got put in that class, her and this Aaron guy, who was also a human, would throw insults at each other. Ein stayed out of it mostly, scared of Aaron. He'd beaten up Balto several times now, making him the Alpha of the school.

Ein knew this, and explained it all to Aph, "The Alpha is the leader of the pack, and in highschool there's usually an Alpha male and female, meaning he's going to have to pick a girl werewolf to be the Alpha female soon. I'm the Omega, since I'm a Freshman and... hang out with humans a lot." He'd said.

Ein's life was going fairly well, too, so far. Minus the werewolves giving him dirty looks for being the Omega, he was happy. Hanging out with Laurence a lot after soccer practice, meeting other queer people in his club, and making his own friend group. He became good friends with Travis and Vylad, the three of them and Aph being Not Alone together.

Today, Ein was planning to admit his crush to Laurence. They were going to play videogames at Laurence's house after school, and Aphmau was going to be at Garroth's house, hanging out with him and Vylad.

"Hey!" Ein called, waving to Laurence as he left his last class of the day. Laurence started to wave back, but all Ein saw was a look of shock before he fell to the ground. A werewolf had shoved him, knocking him over.

Laurence ran over, "Woah- are you okay?" He asked, offering out his hand. Ein took it, pulling himself up.

"Y-Yeah..." He laughed, shaking it off.

"Why'd that werewolf push you? Do you know him?" Laurence asked.

"No... I'm the Omega, so the werewolves don't really like me..." Ein explained.

"Oh... Well, we should get going. I'll walk with you to your locker, in case any other werewolves are around." Laurence said, smiling. Ein blushed, and off they went.
