Chapter 5 Walk

I jumped in after him slashing water about. I even splashed water on him. He gave me a "Really?" look, I just laughed. We swam for about an hour in the small lake. The weather was okay for the area we lived in; surprisingly it was sunny unlike normal. We were just about to get out when here comes Elliot with a fish in his mouth!

I was amazed by the skill he had to catch it but was laughing at the same time because of the fact that the fishes tail was slapping him in the face. He took it out of his mouth and said "Here!" as he threw it to me. I cough the slimy, slippery fish in my hands almost dropping it. He laughed at me trying to keep a hold of it, I just rolled my eyes laughing. I put it in a cooler with some water from the lake to keep it alive till we ate it, after all it would taste better fresh.

I washed my hands in the lake but, I couldn't seem to get the fish smell off. "Hey," Elliot said "wanna go on a walk?" "Sure but you lead, you know this part of the forest better." I replied. He smiled then began walking out of the clearing. We walked down a dirt path that was not rugged surprisingly, almost as if it had been walked on almost every day. The trees began to grow taller the farther we walked and the forest began to grow thicker.

As we were walking I glanced at Elliot's arm and noticed his wound was almost healed and it almost just looked like a scar now. I thought it was a little peculiar but then again I was a fast healer too... just not that fast.

We began to hear sounds I began to grow more scared. I saw eyes watching us in the bushes and far back it the brush. Suddenly Elliot stopped dead in his tracks, giving my a scare. "Run." he said, I looked up at him "Wha-?" "Run!" he shouted.

I began to run hearing growling and grunts behind me,I didn't look back. I was almost back to camp but then, I tripped....
