Was the only word my mind could formulate once I opened the door to the Serapheen Wing.
It was a room enveloped with a deep crimson red and dark yellow hues of light. The bed was designed with four pillars on each side, draped with red lush curtains. Mahogany furniture was littered around the room including a bedside table, a wooden desk with a red cushioned chair, and a vanity that held exquisite bowls. The brown floors glimmered under the light and an exotic looking carpet covered the expanse of the room.
The ceiling was arched with wood, leaving a pattern that reached the curtains that hung from the ceilings. The red heavy curtains draped the long walls, slightly covering another part of the room that looked like a sitting chamber. On the other side of the wall, was another set of red curtains that covered vast glass windows, hiding the outside world away from the room.
Above the bed was a series of paintings that displayed a harsh war with armored soldiers and colossal horses.
Wonderful.
Hesitantly, I stepped in, my eyes raking over every detail of my surroundings. Was this really the Serapheen Wing? I was half expecting a dungeon looking room with ironclad shackles and no windows.
What I wasn't expecting was... this. It was a gorgeous room. Almost homey if you excluded the horrifying painting above the bed.
I turned around and sighed in relief when I noticed that Levon hadn't entered behind me. I assumed that he had closed the door after I had entered. Memories of our latest encounter sprung to my head, and I wanted to shiver when I remembered his lips on my own.
I rubbed my mouth subconsciously, trying to rid my mind of the memory. My mind drifted back to the encounter with my biological father and I concluded that it wasn't exactly a bad meeting.
Though he did scare every fiber of my being and I would hate to be stuck in the same room as him, he had listened to my request and ordered that the women be let go. I can only hope that Levon follows through with the order as soon as possible.
For now, I could only trust in his words and hope for the best.
I certainly would follow up with him just to make sure things went accordingly.
I was pretty proud of myself for being able to stand up to him. Who knows? Maybe this bravery of mine would help me escape.
This was the first time I managed to accomplish something important on my own.
