Many centuries ago, in the kingdom of Chuvaria lived a young poor maiden named 'Rose Van Sparrow'.
Rose and her family were the dwellers of a small village in the kingdom and struggled to survive through the obstacles of life. A hopeless romantic, b...
My whole entire body froze at the woman's words, and my grip on her loosened. She scrambled away from me as quickly as she could, leaving me in a state of shock.
Kingdom of Ceasian? The Kingdom of Ceasian was attacking the Kingdom of Chuvaria? Today of all days?
Why was I so surprised that they would stoop so low as to use such a special day for their own personal day of brutality. My body began to tremble as the screams of the people grew louder and the sounds of heavy running could be heard echoing in the halls of the castle.
They were in the ballroom!
The ballroom I was just in!
Before I knew it, my legs were already racing toward the door, my mind high on fear of what could happen to the people inside. To my sisters. To Princess Naida.
To Nikolai.

My dress ruffled heavily around my legs and my frustration grew every time I would step at the ends. I ran past the doors, my feet hitting the marble halls with such force that should have echoed but because of the loud screams, I could barely hear them.
I skidded to a stop from the sheer shock of the events playing before my very eyes. The halls that had once been decorated beautifully were in complete destruction. The masses of people were either running or being pushed in a certain direction by the darkly dressed knights.
They wore metal engraved masks with harsh designs on the outliers. They wore Ceasian's colors of black and green, and wore no armor, which confused me. Weren't knights suppose to wear armor? Did this mean they were not the knights of Ceasian?
I then noticed the few that were wearing blinding black armor as they made their way into the ballroom. Those were Ceasian Knights. My heart was stuck in my throat and for a few minutes, I didn't breathe as they marched in, fighting the Chuvarian knights in their wake.
My eyes fell on the complete destruction of the once dazzling ballroom. The marble floors were cracked and the tall roman pillars had long streaks of blood splattered against it. I stood frozen behind one of the pillars as the chaos around me began to expand.
I watched as more Chuvarian knights ran into the ballroom, their gleaming silvered swords already unsheathed as they joined the battle. I couldn't see Nikolai from where I stood but I noticed the Ceasians who weren't wearing armor beginning to grab people.
Specifically, women.
Their shrieks and cries intensified as rough hands made their way around their waists and they were dragged away. I wanted to help them, to stop those dreadful people from taking them away. What if my sisters or Princess Naida were among those women? Just as I was about to go after them, a loud voice yelled out.
