Isaiah Carr's day-to-day life went like this: wake up, go to school, then eat, sleep, breathe baseball. He didn't have time for relationships or going out over the weekends. His life revolved around keeping his grades up and playing the game, striving for a scholarship to get away from Texas.
He never thought he'd find anything just as important, if not more, as his goal. Until he finally notices the senior with one leg sitting on the bleachers at every practice, every scrimmage, every game. Only then does he realize that life is more than just a ball and glove.
My thoughts: I loved this story! It explored some darker themes, but overall the tone was more lighthearted, which I enjoyed for a change. The characters were all unique and the interactions between them often left me laughing. I would recommend this if you're looking to see the development of a beautiful romance, with some laughs and plenty of cuteness along the way!
