Dawny stepped- out to the patio of his beach house with a large glass of chilled  beer in his hand
He walked towards one of the lounge chairs and plopped down. Cool sea breeze ruffled through his hair and his eyes caught up in the glowing red light of the painstakingly beautiful sunset reflecting in the lazy waves in the ocean.
Dawn Peterson aka dawny as loved ones call him, Is a conventional businessman. wealthy, hardworking,  but with a wave of anger on the tip of his nose- kind of man when things don't go according to his way. but other than that he was a softie who couldn't scold his pestering Little brother.
"Hey man! "A voice caught his attention as he turned his head and he saw his best friend Austin standing behind him shirtless with a glass of beer of his own.
He strolled towards the lounge chair beside dawn and sat down
"Why do you runoff from the party man? that Theresa chick was staring at you all evening  .if you had made a move you could have an interesting night"

He said patting his shoulder and sitting next to dawny .letting out a sigh and stretching his legs

"You know me better than that man, "I don't do hookups and I don't date, "dawny said

"Ya, Ya I know man,... Mr- waiting -for soulmate -to show- up- man" Austin laughed lightly taking satisfaction in the silly frown on his friend's face.

" Then why did you ran- away  from the party?" he asked eyeing him

Dawny sighed and shrugged his shoulder as if he wasn't interested to respond to that question.

Austin glimpsed at him and said,
" Let me guess....., your mom again called you right? scolding you about finding your true love"

Dawny had always admired how Austin manages to guess the things that change his mood so correctly and as ever this time too his best friend managed to figure out the whole scenario without him uttering an individual word

Dawny let out a long breath drinking up his beer he nodded and said
"I don't know why she is so persistent about me finding love"
Austin let out a chuckle " you can't accuse her of that, two of your siblings are already married and your brother, even though he is only 18 years old and in high school he has a girlfriend and you are only single one in the whole Peterson clan"
Dawny knew that his mother was apprehensive that he may feel lonely, as all his siblings have already found they're happily ever after.
His sisters one young and one older than him by a year was already married and settled down with their families

His brother even though a high school senior and living with his parents had been madly in love with his girlfriend, Patricia since he was 16.so he was the only one left with no love and his mother had made it her aim to try to find his sweetie.
"You can't blame hour mother for forcing you to date.
Since she was in love with your father since high school......, you know?."Austin said putting the beer down and standing up.
Dawn's parents were high school sweethearts and they married as soon as they finished their colleges and had been in love ever since. actually, he felt lightly jealous of seeing his parents, madly in love even after 25 years of marriage.
"I know, but what if I get too connected to a wrong girl once again. what if they are after my money or fame?
I Can't take a risk once it again ".dawny said

"Ooh.!.man even if your high school love broke your heart, you can't make conclusions based on that. That's inexperienced age that will always happen. it's how things work.
"I know, she tossed out you... but that was a long time ago right," Austin said

"Yes that was a heartbreak and I was devastated.
I loved her with all my heart and she betrayed me sleeping with my best friend," dawny said his memories flashing in front of his eyes
He had given his virginity to her thinking that she loved him but the very next day he found them together in the empty classroom and it was a real heartbreaker for him since he was betrayed by both his best friend and his girlfriend right after he gave himself to her.
"So you will never date again?" Austin interrogated
"Maybe,  but not before the new product is launched"
Dawny said standing up and walking towards the end of the patio" I devoted my 5 years for this research I can't have a distraction right now." he said looking away not meeting Austin's eyes
" When is the launch man?".austin asked concern clear in his voice
" if everything goes according to the plan in the next two months ".
"But I don't know someones trying to mess up with my company".he said
Why are you saying so? Asked Austin
" I am not sure dude... Some difficulties are always there during the lab tests even though I check thoroughly something always messes up..' he sighed and look towards to Austin who was thinking deeply but said nothing
Mariya is retiring this week, right? Austin  inquired
"Yes,  she is and I am totally in trouble if the HR
Can't find an efficient PA within next week.".
"Ya good old Mariya needs rest. " Austin smiled
His phone chimed in his pocket looking onto the screen dawny saw Austin smiling to himself.
" it's Stephy isn't it?" dawn asked admiring how his friend's face colors reading the text.
Austin looked a little sheepish whatever the text from his ladylove was . Dawn bit down his lips to prevent from letting out a laugh seeing his bestie blushing over a  text from a girl. sometimes he could act real bizarre dawny taught.to himself
"I gotta go ....."Justin looked up placing his phone back into his shorts pocket and finishing his beer in a single sip.
"When is your return flight," he asked
" at 5:00 in the morning," dawny answered

" ok good night bro " Austin patted his best friend on the shoulders-held out his hands for their funny ancient handshake
Dawn shook his head grinning and returned the handshake".see you soon man "he called over his shoulder ...but Austin was long gone running down the steps to his awaiting lover
Danny sighed and looked far towards the far saltwater meeting with the twinkling stars in the gray sky wondering what awaits for him in destiny.
