Be Mine

Problems.

Dawny rushed towards the office in his custom-made mustang.
His feet pushed the gas pedal as if the speed was not enough.
His hands were white from the tight grasp of his hands on the steering wheel.
His partner Austin has messaged him earlier,
the patent is rejected again. He couldn't believe it. Since this happened earlier once, this time while applying for the patent, he made sure that nothing was wrong in the product himself.
But something went wrong again.
His chest tightened with anxiety and anger.
It was his years of hard work and sleepless nights, his whole company goes down as he had spent millions on this single product to be launched.
He tossed the keys to the security jumping out of the car and banging the door with a large thud,
he walked fast towards the elevator.
His receptionist greeted him but, he was in no mood for formalities.
The elevator opened on the 25th floor, and he stepped into the office. 
Austin was already waiting for him on one of the chairs.

His eyes looked as if he hadn't slept all night, Dark circles were present around his eyes.
He looked like he hasn't shaven in days, his coat lay hanging on the back of the chair he was sitting.
He was wearing a crinkled white shirt with black dress pants.
He looked way too tired and out of his usual element.
Dawny nodded towards him and sat on his seat behind his desk.
"What really happened Austin?", he questioned his voice hard
" Austin shook his head leaning forward placing his hands on the desk, " everything was going fine bro... But at the last allergic reaction test, something went wrong and the rejected the patent request".
"I had to talk to  them for about an hour to get another chance,
If we mess up that too our dream will just be a dream".
He looked away with sadness in his eyes.

Dawn clenched his arms and with a great sound, he thumped it on the table.
His voice shook from anger rushing through his body.  The moment he felt like hitting someone for a little relief.

"How could this happen, when I clearly instructed our scientists to be exceptionally careful?"

Austin sighed seeing his partner incensed.

" I don't know, dawny, but I speculate. Someone is pulling strings, but we can't offer any reward for them to speak up,
If we go paying off  the wrong person our plans will be demolished in the blink of an eye."
"Then what's the next step?" Dawn asked,
" I think you should personally check through the experiments before we again apply...
To make sure no one is messing up our product"
Austin looked up at  dawn who was in deep thought
Dawny knew
what Austin was pointing out would only be a practical solution.
He should believe no one in this circumstance.
He nodded his head in understanding.

He took his phone and dialed
his HR manager Antony.

" Antony, please come to my office ".

Within seconds Antony came in rushing.

"Sir, " catching breath placing hands-on his chest.

" Have you found me an assistant?"dawny asked without pausing a second.

Antony felt sweat flowing down his spine,
His face paled.... " no sir."
he said his voice small
" Why?" he heard dawn's deep voice, and he knew the danger coming his way.

" Why haven't you found an assistant for me  Antony, it's the only job that I assigned you in a month and you couldn't even do that?"

Dawn yelled at Antony his voice surging with his anger.
He lunged up from the seat, the chair dropping backward with a loud thud.

"Sir. "
Antony tried to form words, but he couldn't look up in his boss, who was shaking with rage.

"I have found a girl, "he said in a constrained voice.

"Then, what is the problem Antony why haven't you told me "
dawny was pissed off
He started seeing red due to all the things going around him causing him a headache.

"I just heard about her yesterday sir from a friend of mine but I wasn't sure about appointing her.
That's why I didn't immediately inform you.
I was going to consult you after the meeting."
Antony replied quietly.
His voice weak and his face devoid of any Blood

" Is she any good " dawny looked down at his manager standing with hands folded tightly towards his body as if it could shield
Him from dawn's rage.
He felt sorry for him And Dawn's voice softened.

" Yes sir, I think so "Antony replied, his voice easing down a bit.

"Then, send her up as soon as she reaches here Ok '.

Dawny ordered sitting down at the chair which was regained by Austin and kept at it's a proper spot by Austin during this whole spectacle was happening.
Dismissing  Antony with a head nod.

Austin was gazing him with a gentle expression on his face without voicing a word.

" what?" dawn asked looking at him

"Nothing partner", he said, standing up
" I gotta go and you should get some serious control over that anger of yours otherwise your assistant girl will be fleeing in no time ",
he grabbed his coat, Saluted him with a smirk on his face and walked out.
