Alejandro, breathless and injured, collapsed onto the hotel bed. It was uncomfortably comfortable, a different kind of comfort people aren't used to because you're not in your own bed. But that didn't matter to Alejandro, who was dead tired. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't sleep, being almond and all, so he went to the bathroom mirror to examine his wounds.
He stared at his face for a good five minutes, trying to distract himself from the incessant ringing in his, well, whatever he heard out of. One of his eyes was completely gone, and a large chunk of the bridge of his nose was missing. Guido had ripped quite a large chunk out of him, leaving a gaping hole in his shell, exposing what looked to be—wait a minute, is that flesh?
Alejandro, who never quite understood what he was, never asked any questions. He always thought he was an actual, giant, talking almond, like his father, but something wasn't right. No one had been able to explain the strange phenomenon of how the legumes came to be, and how they came into existence. Everyone assumed it was just random burst chaos in the world, a giant humanoid freak of nature, or somehow someone decided to get freaky with their midday snack. But flesh? Before his shell was able to quite heal up, Alejandro grabbed ahold of the bottom chunk of his face and-snap! Pain seared throughout the entirety of his face, and he gasped in excruciating pain. The hole, which was even wider now, revealed something that didn't sit right with Alejandro.
Through the giant hole in his face, there was a body, a human body, covered in plants and vines. A man with dark brown hair, green-tinted skin, and several almond plants wrapped around the body showed.
Alejandro was s h o o k. Before now, he never cared what he was, and had no interest in trying to understand. But when he saw the person, everything went to shit.
He gasped for breath, trying to figure out why there was a body inside of him. This wasn't right, not only that, but it went against everything that was thought to be true about, ya know, the giant nut people?
Shock paralyzed him, and he watched as slowly, the hard shell regenerating where the hole that he ripped out grew. What would he do? Who should he tell? Does the Peanut Man know? The peanut man. Dread filled Alejandro; something told him that this was something that should have stayed hidden, even if he himself didn't understand.
The Peanut man cannot know, Alejandro thought. Even if he did owe his life to the Peanut Man, Alejandro did not trust him. Something about him was completely off, and very few knew his true intentions. The Peanut Man had a huge and powerful army, however, only William and Preston were ever involved in the Peanut's extremely private schemes. Everyone else knew something was up, but no one defied the Peanut Man without facing the consequences. He decided that he would stay in hiding until he regenerated his face. He made a silent oath: I will find out the truth about myself, and the other legumes. Even if it kills me.
Back at Bruno's apartment, it was obvious to Garden and Bruno that Alejandro was not going to give up until he got Garden. The whole night they planned on how they can defeat the peanut man. They came up with this grand scheme to take down the whole nut mafia. It was 3 in the morning and Garden and Bruno have not slept since Alejandro left. They went to the gun range where Bullets was freaking out over the course of the day. They explained the whole plan to Bullets in great detail.
"Have you shits lost your mind?!" Bullets burst out. He was wildly flailing his arms in panic. "How the HELL are you going to break into the headquarters, and blow it up? We don't have the resources for that! Much less grenade launchers! And we can't even FIND the damn place, how are we going to invade it?!?!"
"We understand that we're asking a lot-"
"Shut the fuck up! You, out of all people, should know how stupid your little plan is, Bruno. You can't just waltz right in and expect the Peanut Man to do your bidding." Bruno reared back in shock.
