The Funeral

A/n Hey guys sorry I haven't been updating school has taken up a lot of my time but I'm going to try working on books again. This chapter may not be the best and I'm sorry I'm trying to get in the groove of writing again. Thank you guys for read and I hope you like it.

Elena's POV

Kol reaches down and grabs my had as we all stand around Elijah's grave. His body may not be in the grave, but the took his coffin and put some of his things in there.

"We all loved Kol. Sometimes it may have seemed we didnt because of all the fighting, but no matter what it is always and forever." Klaus say with tears in his eyes.

I felt broken inside, but with Kol by my side it felt lighter. I know his death is my fault and I want to find a way to undo it. I made my choice of Kol,but Elijah is still family.

"Elena would you like to say something?" Kol say lightly.

I shook my head yes lightly and everyone looked at me.

"I may not have know Elijah all my life like you guys, but he was so important to me." I took a deep inhale trying to hold back the tears. "It is all my fault that he is gone and I cant believe I did something like that to all of you."

I turned and ran because I couldn't stand there any longer knowing it was my fault. I had to get Elijah back.

I pulled out my phone and dial Bonnie's number waiting for her to answer.

"Hello?" I heard from the other line.

"Bonnie can you meet me at the grill this afternoon?" I ask hopefull.

"Who is it?" I heard a voice I recognized all to well as Damon Salvatore.

"Yeah Elena I'll meet you." Bonnie says hanging up.

Time skip to the grill**

I walk in to the grill looking for Boonie and find her sitting at the bar with Damon.

I walks up and taps her on the shoulder causing her to jump.

"Elena!" Bonnie jumps up and hugs her.

"I've missed you too Bonnie" I hug her tighter.

"Hi Elena." Damon says tipping his drink slightly.

"Hi Damon" I say with the same tone.

"Damon will you give us a minute. I'll meet you back at the boarding house." Bonnie says smiling at him.

I watch as Bonnie watches Damon leave when it dawns on me.

"You and Damon!" I say excited.

Bonnie blushes and looks back at me.

"We started about a month after I visited you." She smiles happily. "But that's not what we came here to talk about. What's wrong?"

"Can you help bring Elijah back?" I ask hoping she can help.

"I dont know that would take a lot of power and a sacrifice probably." Bonnie says surprised to my question.

"Please Bonnie help me. I hurt the Mikealson family and I need to fix it. Hope needs her uncle Elijah." I beg.

"I look into spells but promise me that if we find a way nothing happens between you three again. You chose Kol." She says sternly.

"I promise. Call me if you find something. Thank you!" I say pulling her into a tight hug.

I leave the grill and head to my apartment that I bought a year ago to visit my friends and family.
