I'm running through the forest, my paws going across wet and unstable ground, I must keep going otherwise they are going to catch up. I feel something, or someone hit me from behind me, I hear screaming before I realise it's me in the back of my mind. I feel the pain I didn't realise I had. Wait no, there's someone on me I can't breathe, I feel my breathing getting haggard and I slip and land on something that stabs my stomach. My mistake, instantly the one who jumped on me squeezed on my neck. I know I'm dying and I can't do anything about it. Black spots come across my eyes and I listen to the voice in my mind to let go. Good-. Louise groans as she leans over the bed to turn off the annoying beeping sound coming from the red and blue alarm clock. Louise lies in bed for a few minutes trying to wake up properly, it's the first day at her new school. Louise and her father had decided it will be better if Louise went to a human school because it's less dangerous and more conspicuous. Louise looks at the clock. "Ah Christ"
Louise leaps up realising that she had stayed in bed too long. She wanders to the wardrobe in the corner of the room and picks out the clothes, Louise picks out some dark blue skinny jeans and a red top that shows off her figure, which she is very proud after years of rigorous training.
Louise runs into the bathroom and brushes her teeth furiously, she brushes her pig sty of hair when I come back to my room. While Louise finishes getting ready, She strolls into the hallway and bangs on her dad's door "Dad, you better get up" she continue banging the door until Louise hear a voice belonging to her father, "Okay, goddamn it, I'm up, I'm up" she smiles at her father's groggy voice "Okay, Dad I'll make you coffee and toast" Louise answers to her lethargic father.
Louise walk into small kitchen that joins up with the living room. She turns on the kettle to make her tea and her dad's coffee, she goes to the toaster and put in 4 pieces of bread in. She then take out the butter just as the kettle stops boiling and the toast pops out, she spread the butter over the toast and she pour the water into the tea cup and the coffee cup, she pick up the plates and cups and she head to the small oak kitchen table, she sit down just as my dad comes out.
"Hey Dad, how are you feeling?" Louise say concerned looking up at him while she eats and drinks. He looks at Louise and shrugs "Hey Lou, I'm okay" Louise looks down and finishes eating at the uncomfortable silence as the unasked questions hangs in the air, Louise bites her lip as she decides to ask him the question she wants to know.
"Well...how long are we going to be here then? Are you going to try and get a job?" Louise ask shyly not wanting to upset him.
"Well I guess we should stay here for a couple weeks if we're lucky a few months, I'll try and get a job here today" Dad answers Louise. Louise nods smiling, happy he is at least going to try. Louise looks at the time and jumps up.
"Oh gosh I'm going to be late, do you mind if you drop me off?" Louise looks at her dad smiling, and he nods his head, Louise jump and squeal "Thanks daddy" Louise kisses his cheek and she picks up her bag and goes outside with her dad trailing behind her.
Louise and her father lives on the outskirts of a small town and on the border of a packs territory, their little cabin is surrounded by trees, they are quite deep into the forest, Louise gets into the rusty orange pick up and drops her stuff in the passenger seat. Louise buckle herself in and her dad starts to reverse, Louise's dad drives down the long driveway from the cabin. Louise sees the motorway and looks for any cars then her dad turns left heading toward the town, when they get here, they both look at a sign saying Welcome to Ashville, Population: 1558.
"It's quite a small town, ain't it dad?" Louise smiles when she sees the sign, Ashville is in the middle of Pennsylvania. "That's why we moved here Lou." Back in Britain, it was hard, Louise and her father couldn't stay anywhere for more than a week until we got to America.
They drive down the road surveying around, there's a line of shops going down the road, there is a pharmacy and a corner shop, Louise looks around more and they see the town hall with a bell on top of it, Louise grins at the people as they greet each other, Louise nods in approval. "Looks like a stereotypical town, right?" Louise expresses to her dad. "I think you've been reading to many books" Dad responds.
They finally get to the school that looks like a big building with loads of windows and a staircase leading to the main doors, Louise looks around the greenery, admiring it, there are tons of trees scattered around and you can see the forest that is really close to the school. Finally, somewhere I like Louise thinks to myself. "Okay Louise, I'll be waiting here when you finish, don't be late sweetheart" Louise looks over to her dad and smiles "Don't worry daddy I'll be here on time." Louise kisses him on the cheek and gets out of the car.
Louise feels everyone's eyes on me, staring me down as she heads into the school, obviously because she is new, and they probably don't get newcomers, Louise walks up the main stairs and looks for the reception, Louise looks around the school when she accidentally bumps into someone.
"Oh god I'm sorry" Louise turns around as she says it and looks into the eyes of the prettiest but also fakest girl Louise had ever seen. You know those girls. She looks at Louise in disgust. That makes Louise narrow her eyes at her, already annoyed.
"Eww, she touched me, what are you doing here?" She says to her fake blonde minions, Louise feels her wolf, getting mad at the blonde bitch. Louise smirks at her.
"Oh, I'm going to school" Louise answers innocently mocking her, she pushes past Louise, muttering "Australian slut" Louise had to bite down on her laughter because obviously she doesn't have more than two brain cells if she thinks Louise is Australian. Louise doesn't want to say anything since her is new here. Louise isn't really feeling like getting a reputation already, she shakes her head and moves to the reception, Louise notices a frail old lady at the computer preoccupied by her work, Louise cough slightly to get her attention. She looks up and she sees Louise and smiles. "Sorry lovely, hello I'm Mrs Atkin who are you?" Mrs Atkin asks Louise, Louise smiles back at her.
"Hi, I'm Louise Jones, I just need my schedule please" Louise say politely
"Ah you're English, you don't see many these days, especially in this area" she stops before she can continue. Miss Atkin stands up and goes to a metal cabinet, she looks for Louise's name, once she finds it, she moves towards Louise and gives her the schedule. "Thank you Miss Atkin" Louise look at the schedule. It looks as boring as she had figured it would be. Jeez these are on different sides of the school, even with my speed it would take ages, Christ. Louise head to tutor first, seeing as it's the first lesson, kinda.
Louise nods as she makes her way to the tutor classroom, Louise finally find it after getting lost, she knocks on the door, Louise hear an older man's voice saying "Come in" Louise opens the door and looks towards the desk.
"Hey, I'm Louise Jones, you are my tutor apparently" Louise smiles towards the hot looking teacher, damn he's fine, he says "Okay find a seat then" Louise nods, and looks at the back seeing a vacant seat, she makes her way to it and sits down. Well this is going to be fun Louise thinks uninterested.
