"Your eyes
crashing into my eyes
was I accidentally falling in love"

It was another day Bell Mount University. Where the blazing sun rays meets a cold breeze making a warm day tolerable. The small city was bustling with small groups of people here and there. I, Roxanne, was sitting in a window seal of quaint coffee shop on the southeast side of the university. Bell Mount is known for a quiet getaway from all troubles, unfortunately, the residents don't feel the same. I completely agree, the minuet gossip spreads, well lets say, you'll never be the same. If you think about it, it's kinda like Pretty Little Liars.

I was sitting a quaint shop in the town square. I don't know why I came here. I thought I could run away from my problems, you know anxiety, depression and PTSD. Have all three hitting at the same time every week, like clockwork is very traumatic. I left because my hometown kept triggering my problems.

It worked for a while, it stopped. But for the past week, it came back, not a lot though, I've managed to keep under control. The time on my watch striking 12:15, a second later my two friends stroll in on time, like always.

"Hey Roxanne, how are you?" Isabella ask.

"Meh, you know me." I answer.

"Roxy, you should see a doctor for medical treatment," lily suggest.

"You know I can't," I blurt too fast.

Isabella sighs before speaking again, " you're not the same girl, a year and a half ago." Isabella and Lilly both reached for my hand, reassuring me.

I can't take pills again. Both of my parents, my brother and I, were on our way to Canada, but we all didn't make it. A semi truck was driving too fast on a bend and didn't expect us to be there and crashed into us. Are car rolled down the rocky hill. My mother jumped to the back seat to protect me and my brother from impact. I opened my eyes, and saw my father dead.

My brother dragged me out the car, we tried to save our mom, but my brother stopped me. When we rolled down the hill, the gas leaked open and the car blew up in flames. My mother was still inside.

Alive.

I fell into depression for months. Soon my brother put me onto medication, because my grades were slipping and I needed to maintain my scholarship offer, in order to attend. It was way too expensive to pay all my own. Unfortunately I didn't make it, so I lost it and here I am at Bell Mount. The reason I can't have pills because one time I had a reoccurring dream of my mother dying for weeks, and I gave up on living. I overdose, luckily my brother came in, took me to the doctor.

I was taken off the medication, but I'm still in recovery. I have to go to therapy, three times a week for two hours a day. I'm tired of it, but I promised my brother to never fall back I, at least not willingly. Sometimes people say it okay to brake promises, but I never had.

"Roxy"

"Roxy"

"Roxanne!" Isabella shouts. I snap out of my thought to see lily and Isabella looking at me with worried expression.

"Are you okay? You blanked out for 5 minutes." Lily asked.

"Yeah, just a memory reoccurrence." I assure them.

Lily looks at me with a concerned look before sipping her latte. I knew what she going to say. It's okay to break a promise, if it makes you better. She knew what I was thinking about, they both knew. Isabella learned the hard way of trying to change my mind. We're all independent and stubborn women, who never take a no for an answer.

I check my watch and it reads 12:30. The bell chimes signaling another customer. A group of boys arrive through the door. Everyone turns their head towards their presence. One boy catches our eye, and smiles at me, I return a smile before turning to the girls.

"They look new," Lilly states.

Isabella shook her head before explaining, "they live on the opposite of campus, so we never see them."

"How do you know," I question. Isabella cheeks blush to light pink, before she turned away from us. Lily and I broke out into laughter. I pushed my oval glasses up my nose, towards my hazel eyes. A few strands of my raven colored hair flew into my face.

Our coffee was officially cold, and I was unamused. Isabella was embarrassed by her sudden correction and lily wanted to go shopping. We soon left the quaint little coffee house, leaving a tip. I was the last to leave and last to see him. We made eye contact once more. I never knew how pretty his hazel eyes are.
