Deja Vu

  I walked on the stage. I saw other contestants, who looked older than me, laugh. I looked around trying to see if my mother was here I frowned.  "Hello, my name is M-Mira Yin." I said stuttering. Two judges left. Great, I'm not gonna make it in now. No. I can't think like that. "Let me tell you about my invention." I said while grabbing the 'Helping Hand' in my pocket.

   "Wave Hello, Hand." I said and the hand waved. I heard oohs and ahhs. I smiled. I then noticed some running towards the stage it was my mom. I new surge of confidence surged through me. "This is a 'Helping Hand' a robot to help you with your daily life. Hand, Go grab a bowl, cereal and milk." I said as the hand went of to grab those items.

    The hand soon returned with the items. "Hand, I want you to pour me cereal in exactly 5 minutes from now. While we wait I should explain more." I said. "The 'Helping Hand' is your 3rd hand so you can finish more things at once. The hand is voice activated and they can be set to do things at any time. Oh, I forgot we should bring out his friends. Hands come out please." I said as all the hands came.

    "Now, the hands can do other thing then just everyday tasks they can build buildings in seconds. Hands make a model of the Golden Bridge." I said and in a second it was finished. People clapped. "The 'Helping Hands" are not good for transportation because you know why." I got laughs out of that one. The one hand which I told to make cereal made it.

   "Now, I would use the 'Helping Hands' so in the morning I wouldn't have to get up as early." I said as more people entered the area and I heard some laughs. I looked at Hiro his face was excited and I smiled. "The 'Helping Hands' will be man kinds new age to make the world better." I said. "I present to you the 'Helping Hands'." I said. "Make into a big hand and wave." I whispered to the hands as I waved with them.

   I exited the stage. Once I was off I was crushed by my friends in a giant group hug. "I... can't...breathe...." I said while taking short breathes. "Sorry Mira." Everyone muttered. I giggled. "It's all right. Did I do good. Was I a failure. I'm so worried what if I don't get-" I said but, was cut off. "Shut up Mira you did amazing. Now if you think for one moment you did not make it. I will literally hurt you." Hiro stated. I giggled. "You really think so." I asked looking at him. "I know so." Hiro said giving me that goofy grin. I grinned back.

  "I'm sorry to interrupt. I am Mr.Sumāto, head of scholarships and this school. I would like to announce that Miss. Yin is accepted into SFIT. We will be happy to see you attending school, this school year." I gasped as I was handed a white envelope with the SFIT logo on it. "Yes. Yes. Yes!!!!" I screamed while jumping up and down. "Mira, I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do it" Said my mom as she hugged me.

    "Nice job kid." said Waru. He is my mom's new boyfriend. I don't like him he worse then Gareth. Waru reminds me of Pitch Black from Rise of the Guardians. He looks almost exactly like him except he's not the boogeyman. "Thanks." I said while glaring at him. I turned around to my friends. "Guys look!" I said while showing them the envelope.

      "Mira, I told you. You did get in I'm so happy for you, I-I could kiss you!" Replied Hiro. After realizing what he said he got red. "I-I s-sorry I-I didn't mean-" Said Hiro as I cut him off by kissing his cheek. "It's okay I thought It was sweet." I replied while grinning. Hiro grinned back, but that's when I felt the ground shake.

      "Hold on to something!" I yelled. I quickly grabbed on to a pole. My mom grabbed the same pole. The ground under us began to crumble. Waru fell in. "WARU!!!" Screamed my mom. The pole we were hanging onto started. to sink in. we fell but, not that far the pole got lodged into the side off the crater.

       "MIRA HOLD ON WE WILL GET HELP!!" Yelled Hiro as he pressed the button on this shoe which would send his amour here. "Mom hold on." I said desperately. The pole started to bend. Oh god I'm gonna die. My fingers were slipping. My moms gripped slipped. But before she fell she pushed me up and my hands got a grip of the edge of the hole. "MOM!!!!" I screamed. "No, no no. Mom come back. " I said while looking down. I contemplated letting go, but my friends pulled me up. I crawled back to the edge.

    "Mom." I whispered hoping to hear her tell me everything was going to be fine. Hiro had to hold me back and I hugged him crying into his shoulder. Talk about Deja Vu.
