Nanya's POV
We pull up to LInda's Home for Naughty Children and he parks at the front of the house. Addi and I get out and she grabbs my hand.
"Let's go" Jim said in a monotone. He walks up to the door and opens it for us. Bastard, acting all nice now that we're near other people. When the lady at the front desk see's Jim, she sat up and started to bat her lashes and she pushes her fake boobs out as far as possible.
"Hello" She says in a voice that sounds like she just sucked in a bunch of helium. "Can I help you?
"Yes, you can" he says clearing his voice. "I cant take care of these children anymore. It just puts to much pressure on my life" He says in a husky voice. Ew...
"What he means to say, is he sbuses us" Addi says. He whipps his head towards her so fast, I think I heard it crack. "We made a deal with him that was if he took us down here we wouldn't tell but I know he will find some way to find us and I never want to see him again." Addi says. Jesus Christ... She sounds like a mature woman. "So I would like my sister and I to get a resraining order against him please." The lady looked at her like she grew three heads.
"Well sweethear-"
"Don't call me that" Addi said. Barbie was shocked.
"W-well you will need to proof that he did this so we know your not just out to get this...Wonderful man" She said the last part with a little moan. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Addi pulls up her shirt and shows big purple and blue brusies on her stomach. When the fuck did he do that? It was probably when I was cleaning the bathroom and she was making dinner... Fucker. "How do we know this woman right here didn't do this to you and you're covering for her?" She let go of my hand and pushed my shirt up to the bottom of my bra exposing my cut and bruised body.
"Also, we have a video" She pulled the tape out of her little bag. Barbie takes it and puts it in the player on her desk. I hear his yelling automatically. I colse my eyes and Addi squeezes my hand. I hear crying and yelling but I can't make out the words on the tape. It suddenly stops and I open my eyes. Barbie is glaring at JIm and she has her hand on the security call button. The door behind her bursts open and four security guards run through.
"Bye-bye Jim. Have fun in hell" Addi says as they drag him towards the doors.
"I will find you! You will never be safe!" He shouts. I look him right in the eyes and flip him off.
"Here, I'll show you your rooms" Barbie says.
"No need" I said holding up a hand. "we've been here enough times to know where to go. We head to the wing we always sleep in. "I'm proud of you Addi. It's not easy standing up to Jim like that. " I said to her.
"I knew you wouldn't let him hurt me when you were near." She looks up at me.
"But he hurt you before... I let him hurt you" I said, a tear ran down my face.
She stops abruptly. "You can't protect me all the time Nanya. You have to watch out for yourself too. Also, I know that the only reason you let him beat you like that was to protect me. You could have kicked his ass if you wanted butyou knew he would just go after me then." She says. How the hell did she know that. "I know you, Nanya. Thats how I knew. And hell, maybe you can teach me a few of those moves so I can be a badass. Just like you"
"I think I can teach you a few things" I said smiling. She fist pumped the air and I had to laugh. I know we will have a better ;ife without him in it. This is our new start.
