"Are you using that?" someone asked from behind me. I turned around to see a girl with brown hair and big, pretty eyes, her eyeshadow beautifully done. I looked at what she was pointing at, a big bottle of vodka on the counter.

"I was planning on it. That cool?" I asked.

"Yeah, just take some now so I can have the rest. I don't like sharing once I have it to myself," she said. Greed? Gluttony?

"Do you want to do some shots together?" I offered. I wanted to figure out which one she was.

"Sure! I'll probably be doing more than you, though. When I drink, I drink," she said. Overindulgence. Definitely gluttony. "I'm Devyn. Dev."

"I'm Jupiter," I replied, grabbing two little plastic shot glasses for us. I filled them up and we both downed them.

"Have you been here before? I feel like I would remember that hair," she said.

"I have not," I replied. We both took another shot.

"How did you get it so bright? And your roots are nonexistent! Are you a really light blonde? Do you just dye your eyebrows?"

"Oh, I just bleach it really light before I dye it. And I just got it touched up the other day," I lied. That was always my excuse when people pointed out how unique it was.

"It's like glowing, though," she said.

"Yeah, I know," I replied.

"No, like literally," she said. What? I reached up and grabbed a strand of my hair and saw a soft red glow radiating from it. Like, actual light, as if my hair suddenly absorbed a bunch of energy into it or something. "Kat!" Devyn called. A girl with blue hair walked over.

"Mhm?" Kat asked. I decided that everyone at this party was completely wasted.

"Is her hair not glowing right now?" Dev asked.

"I don't know, dude. I'm too drunk for this," Kat laughed. "Are you not? Usually you're already blackout, miss binge drinker," Kat teased. Dev was 100% gluttony. Was Kat one of them, too? "I wish I could do that like you. It's so cool how you can just keep drinking and never get sick from it."

"Oh, stop with that. We've discussed this a million times. You don't have to be jealous of everyone for everything they do that you can't," Dev laughed. She filled up the shot glasses again and we drank. Was Kat envy? I took a deep breath and tried to focus on lowering my heart rate with some breathing techniques. Maybe that would make my hair go back to normal. It seemed to actually work.

"And you don't even make a face after a shot of vodka! Man, I am out of my league here," Kat said.

"Sorry, she just gets so envious when she's drunk. Worse than normal," Dev said, locking eyes with Kat to share a small giggle. Totally envy.

"I want to do one with you guys," Kat said, grabbing herself a plastic cup. We all took one more shot, and I decided that four of straight vodka was much more than enough for me. I'd be hammered in a few minutes, but at least I got to find out two more. I'd figured out four so far, not including Mike and Brennen. I wasn't sure which sin they would be, if any. And since the sins seemed to be a real thing, who's to say there aren't other weird types of things? The alcohol was definitely helping me believe in this stuff a little more. It was too ridiculous to comprehend when sober. For me, at least.

"More?" Dev asked. I shook my head.

"You go on ahead, I'm all set," I said. My head was already fogging up. I hadn't drank in a while. I missed the feeling.

I left Kat and Dev at the small counter and wandered back over to the kitchen to see if Colby was still there. The game of beer pong had ended and the crowd in the kitchen has dissipated. There was actually room to walk now. Colby and the blonde guy he'd been playing against earlier were leaned against the far side of the island, facing away from me. They were talking to a guy with a manbun. I walked over, having to pay attention to walking a little more than usual. I could walk in heels and I could walk drunk but doing the two together somehow didn't quite work for me. I was fully capable of it, it just took a little more focus.
