Noah poked his head out of the car window, taking a deep breath of fresh air.
He missed the country smell and quietness. The car pulled up to an old ,yet well taken care of , house. As Noah got out of the uber, his uncle appeared on the porch of the 2 story house followed by his aunt and Alex, his 10 year old cousin "Noah!!" His aunt pushed his uncle out of the way and pulled Noah into a big hug, even though she was a small woman and only reached Noah's collarbone, she still had really strong arms. "Woah- Aunt Ellie! It's so good to see you !" Noah wrapped his arms around her returning the big hug."NOAH!!" Alex came running towards Noah full speed and jumped into his arms. "Alex! Look at you! Your all grown up!" Noah felt a happiness he hasn't felt in a long time, he felt calm and relaxed and was excited to spend some time with the people he loved dearly. His uncle took his hand pulling him forward into a bear hug. "I hope you still know how to ride a horse." His uncle said starting to walk into the house.
Alex pulled on Noah's arm. "Come on I want to show you the ranch!" Alex was very excited. "Alex calm down, there'll be a lot of time for that, I hope." His uncle gave Noah a quick smile.

Noah walked up the stairs to his room to find an unmade bed. He heard aunt Ellie calling from downstairs,"I'm sorry I haven't had time to make your bed." Noah didn't know what to do. Believe it or not he's never made his own bed before. There was always someone to do it for him. He picked up the bedsheet trying to figure out what to do with it.
He heard someone come in behind him. "Let me, guess you don't know what that is?" His young nephew said in a sassy way. "Oh and you do?!" Noah looked at his nephew. "Here I'll help you" He took the bedsheets and started covering the bed. "The trick is to make it tight so that it doesn't come off during the night." Noah looked at Alex not believing how big he has grown. He realized how little time he's had to spent with his family.
The bed didn't look very good but for the two of them it was perfect. Aunt Ellie came in the room, looking at the bed then at them. She lifted her eyebrows "Boys will be boys" she said redoing the bed.
Noah struggled to sleep. He walked down to the kitchen to get some snacks. "You steeling my food?" He looked at his uncle with a mouth full of fruit loops. "Pass it here." His uncle poured himself a bowl. "You look good, looks like you've been taking care of yourself Noah." He looked at his uncle. "Well I can't exactly sit around all day."
"And I do?" His uncle said playfully
"That's not what I said." His uncle brushed it off with a laugh"When do you plan on going back?" His uncle asked
"When I feel like being part of society again." Noah said with a sassy smile.
"Well I'm really happy you're here."
"Are you starting to get soft, old man?"
"This old man can kick your ass any day!"
"Wanna bet?" Noah said jokingly while shoving a hand full of Fruit loops into his mouth.~~~
"Noah, rise and shine!" Johnny said walking into Noah's room. Noah groaned while pressing his face into the soft pillow. "NOooo... it's to earlyyyy." Johnny gave out a chuckle. "Noah, the farm life starts early." Noah turned his back to his uncle, in attempt to get rid of him. Johnny walked out of the room without saying another word.
A couple of minutes later Johnny came walking in again "Noah, I'm going to give you one last chance to get up." Noah didn't say a thing and pulled the covers tighter over his body trying to fall back asleep but then he suddenly felt a ton of water crashing down on his
face. Noah quickly sat up brushing his now wet hair out of his face "WHAT THE HELL UNCLE JOHN!!!" Noah was furious. "I warned you Noah! Get dressed, I want to show you something!" Johnny yelled while waking down stairs. Noah sat in bed still shocked at what just happened, "He's crazy..." Noah said to himself while getting out of bed.
