Chapter 13

TC's P.O.V.

After spending the night at Micheal's house, I headed back to the dorms to see my lovely girlfriend. When I got to her room, her roommate slapped me in the face. I stood there shocked, my face started to sting.

I put my hand on my face and looked at her,"Why did you slap me? What did I do to you?"

"How could you cheat on her and come here with a grin on your face like nothing happened."

I gave her a confused look. I didn't cheat on Ashlee again. I would never. I loved her to much. I can't lose her again...

"I never cheated. Where is she I need to talk to her?" I said with a pleading look. How could she think I cheated on her?

"Why so you can lie to her?"

"I NEVER cheated. Now tell me where she is!" I was starting to lose my patience.

"I am Not going to tell you. Now Leave before I call security and Never come back!" She slammed the door in my face.

I walked back to my dorm room. When I entered my roommate ,Tommy, was lying in his bed in an awkward position. I got some clothes from my closet and went to showers to get ready for my 10 am class....

*After class*

After class I left to find Ashlee. I looked in all our favorite spots. I couldn't find her anywhere. Maybe she was at her favorite store. I pulled up to the nearest mall and walked to Hot Topic. I spotted her looking at the band t- shirts. I walked up to her and hugged her from behind her. She spun around and looked at me before bursting into tears, dropping the t-shirts she was going to buy, and running out the store. I ran after her. I can't lose her again....

Jayk's P.O.V.

After Kennie left I called Alex and Nat's pediatrician, Dr. Ekott, and scheduled there routine check up for tomorrow. I wonder what's wrong with Nat?

*Next Day At The Apppointment*

We waited in the room for the doctor to come.

*Knock, Knock*

The door opened," Hello Mr. Purdy. How are your darling daughters doing?" he said in his british accent, extending his hand for me to shake.

I shook his hand,"There doing good I guess."

"You guess? What happened?" He said as he washed his hands and put gloves on.

"Nat stopped talking. She was fine and talkative yesterday until my girlfriend came over and then she stopped talking and didn't respond to me or my girlfriend when we called her name. After my girlfriend left, I tried talking to her and she won't look at me or talk to me." I said as he started checking them for abnormalities.

"She probably has SM, which is a psychiatric disorder in which a person who is normally capable of speech is unable to speak in given situations or to specific people. Selective mutism usually co-exists with shyness or social anxiety. I suggest you you take her to a psychiatrist. I will give a referral to Dr. Canu, she is one of the best in California. Alex and Nat are fine physically. I will see you guys next year." With that he told me to go to the front desk to get the referral for Dr. Canu.

*Kennie's P.O.V.*

After talking to Jayk, I was really concerned about Natalie. How did she develop Selective Mutism. She was only 2 years old. Maybe she can grow out of it.

*Ring,Ring,Ring*

I pushed my bluetooth on my ear to answer my phone.

"Hello, you have reached Kennie. How may I help you?" I said in my headset. I heard crying on the other line and I immediately knew it was Lexi that was calling me.

"Lexi, what's wrong honey?" I asked.

"I broke up with him. I can't believe him. A guy can't be raped Kennie. He lied. I need you." she said as she sobbed into the phone.

I pulled into my parking garage at my office building and parked my car. I sat in the car and tried to comfort her, until she said," I don't want to sing or write anymore. I'm sorry Kennie, but your fired." After that she hung up on me without saying goodbye.
