2 Minutes Later...

Ilona sneaked into the place we were in, she came through the route we took to get to where my team is.

"I hear them still, what are they planning?" Ilona whispered.

"Manticore, something like that." I replied whispering.

"Manticore?" Ilona worryingly said.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

"I'll tell you later." Ilona replied as Mitchell and Gideon come to our position silently."

"So the doctor is here?" Gideon asked.

"Yeah, right behind... This door." Foxcroft pointed to the door the voices are coming from.

"Alright, get a mute charge ready." Gideon said.

"Mute charge?" Rachel asked.

"You'll see how this works." Gideon replied "Mitchel, crank the charge."

Mitchell pulls out a device from the back of his exoskeleton and placed the charge right beside the door. He twisted the handle and the charge activated. I couldn't hear anything but muffles at this point. Gideon kicks open the door and we all charged in headshotting the enemies in the room except for the doctor.

One KVA soldier charged at Scorpion with a knife. I tackled the soldier and shot a bullet right in his right ear with my pistol.

I felt the charge deplete from its power and my hearing went back to normal. And goodness that mute charge was a really weird experience. Not being able to hear is bad but having to push yourself to do really run and gun tactics is bad enough.

"Holy shit, that was weird!" Rachel said.

"Yeah!" I chuckled.

Mitchell grabbed the doctor that was hiding behind a desk at the back of the room.

"Seen your pal Hades recently?" Gideon walking towards the doctor and sucker punched him in the temple, the doctor fell down.

"I won't talk." The doctor said on the floor grabbing his bloody nose.

"That's what they all say, just before the screaming starts." Gideon said.

"You think this changes anything?" The doctor said as Ilona held him down on the floor. "You have no idea what he's capable of! You're all dead, we are dead!"

Ilona knocked the doctor out with huge sucker punch right between the eyes. "Not today."

"Bag and drag him..." Gideon said.

"With pleasure..." Ilona put a breathable bag on the doctor's head and carried him over her shoulders. "Damn, this guy is a feather, literally."

"Dang..." Rachel said. "You're probably just strong."

"I don't know, but I feel like he's light." Ilona replied.

"Alright guys, let's get back to base, all we need for us is the doctor." Gideon said. "So let's go back to base."

We went back down the stairs we came into the room from and went back into the garage, only to see a bunch of KVA surrounding us.

"Shit!" Mitchell said dodging a bullet and diving right into cover behind a wall.

Foxcroft couldn't react quick enough, he gets shot in the left leg from a close guy to my right. Foxcroft fell down on the ground, luckily falling into cover behind the wall Mitchell was also hiding behind. I flicked my gun quickly to my right and got the KVA in the face, he fell down lifeless on the ground.

"Shit!!" Foxcroft grunted on the ground, hurting. "Fuck!!!"

"I gotcha dude!" Scorpion went into help Foxcroft really quick.

I stayed put with my Ripper out and kept shooting the rapid amounts of enemies that are circling around our position. Ilona had her pistol out and was shooting. Mitchel and Gideon were also putting some rounds down the range of KVA.

There was Terran now helping the KVA, trying to fish us out of the garage. There was too much enemies around us, I thought we wouldn't make it.

I had to lose my precision, I went into full panic mode since I couldn't compose myself for any longer. Because at that time, it was all or nothing for me. I sprayed my Ripper to every enemy I saw and unfortunately didn't remember about ammo consumption.

"Mitchell, got any spare mags?" Mitchell yelled over.

"Shit..." Gideon said. "This is my last mag for my HB."

"My gun's jammed!" Rachel yelled over.

I quickly gave my Ripper to Rachel and took out my pistol. My pistol was single shot only and it was full on ammo. I had no choice but to use it. I focused every shot onto the heads of the enemies, looked down the sights. But my shots weren't fast enough, more enemies kept coming from all directions.

"I'm out of pistol!" Ilona put away her pistol and took out her assault rifle. She had to drop the doctor down to the ground to start shooting her gun.

A rumble of a jet fighter became more noticed when it got more closer to our position. Then explosions came from the sky crashing down on the enemies right around us. Have we just witnessed a miracle?

"Don't worry guys, I got you!" Some soldier on our comms said as the smoke cleared and bodies covering the streets. "I heard you were in some trouble!"

"Hey thanks man!" Gideon said. "You have no idea how well timed your strike was."

"Haha, I'll see you back at Colorado man!" The soldier said.

"Alright, we got the doc, let's get back to the camp, stock up and go to HQ." Gideon said.

"Let's go!" Mitchell started running.

Scorpion helped Foxcroft up from the ground, who is still unable to walk properly. Ilona put the doc on her shoulders and followed Mitchell. I started following Mitchell as well.

6:09PM - Back at Camp.

"Ahhh, shit shit shit!" Foxcroft on the bench at the medic bay shitting his pants because he got shot. Poor brother.

"Listen, I know it hurts, I'm pretty sure you've been shot before." Scorpion said trying to calm Foxcroft down.

"Not in the fucking shin!" Foxcroft yelled. "The only thing there is bone!"

"Yeah so what!" Scorpion said taking his tweezers and jamming it into the bullet hole.

"ARGH FUCKKK!" Foxcroft yelled. I had to run and cover his mouth, I didn't want to make it seem like a murder is taking place.

"Can you like, shut up!" I said nervously.

Scorpion got the bullet out of his leg and placed the bullet and tweezers to the side on a thick napkin. "There." Scorpion grabbed some antibiotic and some antiseptic and poured a fair amount on the clean hole in Foxcroft's shin.

I grabbed bandages for Scorpion and gave it to him. He started wrapping bandages around Foxcroft's left shin. "Hopefully the wound isn't already infected..."

"Hope not..." I added.
