When Ivy finally came out of her room, Carmen smiled. "Out of your den and into the wild, huh?" She teased, before snapping her attention back to Zack's training.

Ivy responded with a small sigh that Carmen could barely hear, but still did.

Carmen wondered what that sigh meant. It could have been a sigh of exhaustion, or maybe of longing for something, but whatever it was, Carmen couldn't figure it out and it was placed in the back of her mind as her focus soon returned to helping Zack with the few hours of preparation they had left.

Ivy's sigh still nagged her, though, through all of her last hours of preparing their plan to get the Vermeer paintings back, safe and secure.

Finally, after long waiting, 5:00 was near.

Carmen and Ivy stood side by side in front of a door, the door which Zack was just finishing getting ready.

There was an awkward silence, while Ivy and Carmen stood there, waiting for Zack to come out. "So, I wanted you to know something." Carmen started, turning to face Ivy.

Ivy's face turned a bright red, and she had a small giggle as she spoke. "Y-yeah Carm?"

"Early today, when you walked out of your room, you sighed. What was that for?" Carmen asked, her mind already thinking of possible answers.

She watched as the pink colour drained from Ivy's face, and was replaced with a frown. "Oh, I was...just...nervous for my bro. I still am, but I'm worried that he'll blow his cover."

Carmen placed a hand on her shoulder and felt Ivy shudder. She must be cold. She thought to herself. "Zack will be fine. He knows his mission. Don't worry about him."

Ivy smiled lightly back, and Carmen took her hand off the shorter girl's shoulder and turned her attention back to the door. "Zack, you ready?"

Carmen waited with a hand on her hip as the door opened and out came a person that neither Player, Carmen or Ivy knew.

"Ready to park the car in Aardvark Yard," Zack replied in a flawless British Accent. He was a new man, just for this one night, Carmen reminded herself, but it was still shocking to see.

Ivy must have thought so too, because she soon said, "Dude, that's weird." It must have been even weirder for Ivy, growing up with him for so long.

Carmen turned to Ivy and took her by the hand, ignoring the shiver of Ivy as she practically dragged her out the door and to their hidden car.

Everything was set. Nothing could possibly go wrong.

I know that this is a lot shorter than the other chapters, but I will try and make the later chapters longer.
