Supporting her head, she found herself staring out of the window. Another nightmare had kept her tossing and turning all night, which made her unable to concentrate. It was a miracle she was even able to keep her eyes open. She still was completely in the dark as to what the reoccurring dream meant. The only thing that she was able to remember thus far was being in a vast white void that didn't seem to have neither a end or a beginning. Walking around in it brought her nowhere, not that there were any anchor points for that matter. Each time the dream occurred she was able to remember a little bit more, at first it was only a feeling and now it was gradually shaping into something. What that would be was anyone's guess at this point.
It seemed to take forever before the very welcoming sound of the bell filled the classroom, pulling her out of her thought. Relieved she'd survived another class she hastily packed her bag and followed her classmates out into the hallway. She made her way through the packed hall, dodging people left and right. She grunted loudly, having to change her direction again, why did they always had to be so damn loud and in the way. Finally reaching her destination she unlocked her locker and swapped some books.
"Good morning Miss Taylor."
She closed the door and turned around to face the principal, Mr. Lockheart. She refrained from rolling her eyes at him, he only ever spoke to her when she was in trouble. What did he want now?
"Good morning.."
"Follow me please."
The principal had already turned around and started walking towards his office. Reluctantly she followed him. She sure didn't remember doing anything wrong.
"Take a seat."
He gestured to the chairs in front of his walnut desk. She sat down clasping her hands together and fidgeted her thumbs in preparation for what was to come. The principal took place behind his desk, pulling one of the drawers, producing a high pitched screeching sound. She furrowed her brows at him as he rummaged through it.
"Ah yes, here it is!"
He handed her an envelope, it was black and embossed with text in gold. She tilted her head in surprise and looked at the principal questioningly.
"The Royal Academy of Lamia?"
"Go on, open it." He urged, nodding at the envelope in her hand. She flipped the envelope and saw it was closed with a was stamp. How peculiar.. who still does that? A small grin formed on her lips, she actually quite liked it. Her curiosity awakened she quickly broke the seal and took the letter out.

Yours sincerely,
Dirayo Desmontet
Headmaster
She frowned, looking at the principal in disbelief. "Why me?"
"From what I gathered from their representative, it's supposed to be a elitist and exclusive institution. I think they're located on the outskirts of town. They didn't exactly disclose why they selected you other than you supposedly having some exceptional potential. They wasn't an answer within two days."
