Chap.2 New Family

Echo's POV:
I was awoken by the feeling of something being wrapped around my hand, I clicked my tongue a few times to get to know my surroundings a bit then someone spoke "doesn't he know we're here in the room with him..." a guy said making me turn my head over a bit "I don't think he even sees us...look at his eyes...he's..blind.." I heard a woman say as I turn my head over to her "I may not can see but I can hear you guys perfectly clear as day..." I said in a calm tone.

It went quite for a bit then someone spoke up again "May we ask for your name please.." I heard the girl ask in a polite way "my name is Night Slayer..the blind worrier of the night.." I said with a bit of a smile on my face as I kept my head a bit low since I literally can't see. I wiggled my fingers on my right hand a bit then felt that it was in a bandage "I'm sorry for my behavior back there...I never met anyone who matched my species..I never met any other endermen before because..I cannot see what they look like at all...I'm literally born blind.." I said with a frown on my face and my head low.

"Don't worry...we'll do our best to help you..." the girl said as I feel her put her hand on my shoulder "may I ask your names please..because I wanna know who's helping me.." I asked a bit nervously "my name is Ceris..." Ceris said "I'm Vordus the dragonseer..." Vordus said making me smile, I then felt something start to poke my left arm a bit making me a bit annoyed by it "oh that's Zeganirn the end dancer...he's a bit different from us..." Ceris said as Zeganirn kept poking me in the arm "ok hello to you too..." I said as I slightly saw a white blur near my left side.

Then I suddenly felt a warm gust of air behind me along with a low purring sound "and that's the dragon.." Ceris said as I felt the dragon nuzzling my back a bit, I smile at this then reached behind myself and started to pet the dragon gently "he's very sweet for a dragon like him...I like it...after all dragons have always been my favorite creatures in the world..." I said with a big smile but then frowned "it's just..I wish I can see the world..I wish I wasn't born blind..I'll do anything to have normal sight...if only.." I said with a few tears down my face as I felt the dragon nuzzle up to me again.

For as long I could remember I was being trained for fighting but it was for the good this time and I loved it..whenever I would train with Ceris and Zeganirn I never held myself back but at the same time I made sure not to hurt them, one day as we're training I prepared myself to try a combo move I worked hard on all my life and it was called 'The Blind Guy Gamble' the way of this fighting has a fifty fifty chance of a win or lose depending on the number of people in the fight itself. I get low to the ground then started doing my low click like growl for a second then began the throwing of hands and I was dodging them like a true pro.

I gotten hit a few times but at the end it was a draw for us all "damn Slayer...what was that clicking for.." Ceris asked as she gets off the ground "oh that...I call it The Blind Guy Gamble..anyone who's temporarily blind or like me take their chances and guess where their target is...it's a fifty fifty shot.." I said as I brush the dust off myself with a smile.

"That sounds a bit dangerous but I can see where your path is going for there with that move..." Ceris said as we head back to our place of living, I look over at her then said with honesty in my voice "what can I say..you guys are like the best family I've always wanted..." as I continue to head back I didn't realize that Ceris had stopped in her tracks by my words.

Ceris' POV:
I was taken aback by what Night Slayer said...nobody has ever said that to us in years until now...I catch up to him then lightly stopped him "what do you mean by that..." I asked him while looking at him in the eyes, his head drops down and what he said next made my heart brake "I never had a family...I was raised by a the worst person in the world..and that person was herobrine...I didn't want to hurt anyone so..I left him and started my life anew..and man am I fucking happy that I left him because herobrine is a REAL piece of work"

I sigh in relief knowing that he's not on herobrine's side but I felt sorry that Night Slayer has no family, I go over and hugged him because I wanted to give him the love he needed for so long "I'm so sorry..nobody deserves the life you went through...and starting now we'll help you get the life you deserve for the best" I said as I felt Night Slayer hug me back then heard him silently cry a bit.

"Thank you...thank you..god has blessed you..thank you..." I hugged Night Slayer as his tears of joy landed on my shoulder a bit "you're welcome...come on...let's go and talk to our allies about you..I'm sure they'll like you..." I said as we teleport off to the overworld to talk with General Patrick and the others, When we arrived at the location I saw the others training and pretty much doing their own thing "hello guys" I called out as they look over to me with a surprised look on their faces as they didn't expect anyone to come over to visit them.

"Hello Ceris what brings you here.." Patrick asked as he raised an eyebrow in a confused state "I wanted to introduce you guys to a new member of our team...meet Night Slayer the blind worrier of the night..." I said as they noticed Night Slayer "wow he's pretty interesting-wait he's blind.." Rain asked as he was clearly shocked by it "o-of corse I am..but I still fight pretty damn good..." Night Slayer said with a small smile on his sweet face.

ThirdPOV:
Patrick goes over to Night Slayer to test him out if this was true or not..he gets behind Slayer and was about to punch him when he gets kicked in the balls making him fall to his knees in defeat, just by the sight made a few people cringe, flinch or cover themselves blow "oh were you just about to hit me..sorry I didn't see you there.." Night Slayer said with wink to add a bit of salt in the wounds "h-how.." Patrick asked as Stella help Patrick up off the ground "you do realize I can hear you right..." Slayer said as he turns to Patrick and helped him to his feet carefully with a harmless smirk.

"I g-guess I forgot about that..." Patrick said as he was seated on a log for a bit "plus I can also use echolocation very well.." Slayer added as he clicked his tongue a few times while a few bat like sounds followed "never thought we'll ever meet a enderman that uses echolocation...that's rare even for us..." Rain said as he heads over to Slayer in a calm manner "I think your nickname should be Echo since you use echolocation to get around.." Stella said while putting her book away to look over at Slayer with a smile "hey..I like that nickname...Echo..sounds fitting indeed" Slayer said with a big happy grin on his face.

Azura walks over to Slayer with a clipboard with a test sheet on it then looked up at him in the eyes...everyone expected Slayer to react in the same aggressive manner as a regular enderman would when being looked at in the eyes but he didn't..all he did was move his head to the slightest bit of noise then go back to doing his own thing "huh...that's odd...I expected him to react aggressively when I looked up at him but I guess since he's blind he can't tell if I'm looking at him or not..." Azura said as she writes in her notes.

The moment Azura was writing on her clipboard Slayer looks over with a harmless confused look that funny enough made him look like a cute kid, Azura seeing this continued with her testing walks over to him for a few more tests "Slayer what can you sense when I do this..." Azura said as she pretended to get mad "I can definitely tell there you're mad just my your energy alone..." Slayer said as he looked away back up at the tree with a calm look on his face "may I ask why you're looking in the tr-" Azura was cut off when Slayer started to climb up the tree carefully then it gotten silent except for the few clicks every few seconds then finally Slayer climbed down with his hand near his chest and his hoodie zipped up a small bit.

"Slayer what do you have there...what did you find.." Ceris asked as she walks over to him, Slayer smiles then carefully unzipped his hoodie to reveal a small one month old black kitten that has a scar over its right eye making Ceris' eyes go wide "so that's why you kept looking up there..." Ceris said with relief in her voice "I couldn't leave her up there...she needed help so I did...I helped her...that's also why I was barely paying attention because I was listening for her..." Slayer said while he held the kitten close to his chest in a loving manner similar to a mother with their kid.

"Well what's her name if you're keeping her..." Stella asked as she walked over to pet the kitten "...I'll call her...Willow...because I got a good feeling about her..." Slayer said while petting his new found fur baby with a sweet smile on his face as they head inside to give the kitten some proper care she needed all the while trouble was brewing somewhere that could spell trouble for anyone who stumbles upon it.
