**2 days later**
The doctors took Y/N to do a PET scan. i sat outside the room tapping my foot nervously her mother stood next to me looking pale and tired. finally after what seemed like forever Dr. Hernandez came out rubbing a hand along his jaw. i stared at him waiting finally Y/N's mom spoke.
"so whats the diagnoses? has the cancer spread?"
he looked at me and i saw it the look of sadness and despair. in that moment i knew. her mom saw it too i could feel her trembling beside me.
"im sorry but we detected a tumor in the back of her brain about the size of your palm its causing a lot of pressure and..." he paused. "theres no surgical way to remove it i give her less than a month to live im so sorry"
"NO NO IT CANT BE TELL ME ITS NOT TRUE OH MY PRECIOUS BABY NO..." her mom wailed collapsing onto the floor. i felt my body go rigid.
A month.
thats all the time i had left.
i heard a faint cracking sound and i realized it was the sound of me, and my heart breaking.
