Several nights have passed the same way, on that balcony with my dream girl. Today she stood hunched over the edge. She looked paler than usual, she looked ill. I placed a gentle kiss on her cheek and stood next to her, but she wouldn't meet my eye.
"What's wrong," I pleaded, my voice laced in worry. She turned to look at me and I could see hear eyes were red and puffy and cheeks stained from recent tears. Although what I really noticed was that those once emerald eyes were dull. They'd lost their sparkle. She turned her head away, her flowing hair falling to hide her face.
"Come on!" I groaned, grabbing her wrist and pulling her close. "Please, just tell me." She turned her head to the floor a sob bubbling in her throat. She stumbled forwards, crumpling onto my chest and clinging onto my shoulders. She cried onto me as I clung to her shaking form.
"Hey, hey," I comforted, cupping her wet face with my hands so our eyes met. "Tell me what's wrong." I cooed, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Ok," she stuttered. "I'm fading away,"
"What?" I fretted, swallowing back a lump in my throat.
"I'm not from this place, this world. I've spent my time here and now I'm going to disappear, I'll fade away. I won't be able to see you again." She blubbered into my shirt. Never be able to see her again? I couldn't have a life without her here. There had to be a way.
"Is there a way I can see you again," I challenged, wrapping my hand around her face.
"I-i," she chocked.
"Just tell me," I persuaded, pressing my finger on her lips. "Are you on earth?" She nodded weakly.
"Where?" I demanded, wiping tears from her eyes.
"No, listen, you can't come and find me! You can't! Just promise me you won't!" She debated, banging her fist lightly against my chest.
"Just tell me the address!" I wailed, tightening my grip on her body. She shook her head sorrowfully, trying to pull away but my iron grip kept her in place.
"Remember what we said," I encouraged. "Never letting go, remember."
"Never letting go," she murmured, never taking her eyes of the ground.
"So tell give me the address," I begged.
"Just at the end of Whitenberg Street," she sighed, sounding defeated.
"But you can't go there!" She yelled but she never got to finish her sentence, before I pinched my arm hard and the balcony faded away.
I sat up on my bed, what I did still running through my mind. I don't care what she's going to say. I couldn't let that be the last time I see her. I couldn't lose the first person I loved. I couldn't let her go.
