There's still 15 minutes before our next class. Being close with each other, we three have always matched our schedules hence we sit through all our classes together. Stepping on the third row, i see space so i made a beeline for it before the rest of the class arrives. I make it to a point to choose somewhere closer to the teacher so i can hear the lesson well, but not too close that Truth and Dare starts to balk. These guys, they dislike having the lessons up in their face but still get good scores with minimal effort. Intellectual pleb that I am, i had to crawl my way up to the rankings. With good genes on top of that, no wonder girls put them on the pedestal.
Huff.
I turn around to air my thoughts to these unfairly blessed beings and noticed that they didn't sit with me as they usually do. Confused, i scan the rest of the rows only to see them at the far top, way behind the 3rd row. Frowning, i look at them in question.
Dare smirked, and made a c'mere gesture. I frowned more, and leveled them with my most "annoyed" stare. He jabs Truth with his elbow. Oh hell no. Truth picks up his phone and types something. I hear my phone buzz right after, picked it up to check the message.
Truth: Come up?
Ellie: 😑
Truth: It's just film showing today, nothing that would need you to sit near the front
Truth: It's gonna be boring
Truth: Extra boring if you're not here
Truth: C'mon
Truth: B4 teach arrives
Truth: 🥺Argh! This guy, extremely persistent when he wants something. And the emoji I'm extremely partial to! If people know the Truth is not above using cutesy emoji to get what he wants, there'll pandemonium.
Fully resigned, i get up and proceeded to sit with them. As soon as i got in the row, Dare scooted more to the left to make space for me between them. Dumping my bag on the desk with more force in order to make a point, and then sat eminently pleased.
Just in time for the bell to ring, and Mer. Channing to enter. Projector set, and Romeo and Juliet playing after a few minutes, I laid out my notebook, pen on hand and settled to watch. As is customary, a paper is required by next class schedule and as much as I've read and watched Romeo and Juliet , i cant discount the possibility that this particular film has something different to add to my knowledge. I plan on completely focusing my attention on watching.
Ten minutes into the film and that's when I realized, there's no way my plan was gonna happen.
