Champions' Conference - Pearls Focus

((A/N: Alrighty, first chapter time! This'll be focused on the pearls!))

The room was nearly devoid of life, minus a few pearls in the center of it, all sitting on a bed in the center and talking. 

"Any updates on Pearl?" Blue asked, cautiously, looking to Volley. Tears came to the demon's eyes, dripping black onto her pink outfit.

"Yeah. She's helping her owner over on Earth." Volley snarled, and Blue put a hand on her shoulder. 

"Hey, she didn't-" 

"I don't CARE! She could've tried harder! Instead, she just LEFT!" Volley pushed Blue's hand off her shoulder. "Green at least has the two of you, both of her parents. But Blush... She only has me. Her other mom just ran off to Earth. We don't even TRY that much to get any demons on Earth anymore."

Yellow and Blue backed away at the sudden outburst, and Volley shook slightly. 

"Volley, your eye-" Yellow started to move forward, but Volley roared and she flew back.

Blue shielded Yellow from Volley, who's eyes were still an angry red, and her left eye was beginning to leak more of the black tears. In fact, it began to glow pink.

"Volley, no, don't make us have to sedate you again." Blue glared at the other demon, who simply growled again. 

"I don't CARE. If she's not here, what the fuck is even the point! Take me out again, it won't do ANYTHING." She roared again, causing Blue and Yellow to slide back another few feet.

"Alright, enough." Blue's eyes began to glow a deep blue, and she charged forward, slapping her hand over Volley's mouth when she attempted to roar again. "Blush needs you, she can't enter the competition this year without you. You can't keep hurting yourself like this."

Volley pushed her off, then Yellow was heard yelling something in the demonic tongue. When Volley attempted to roar, it just came out as a scream. Yellow tensed, and Blue slapped Volley. "Hey, enough! She has your god-forsaken spell cancelled. We're more powerful than you, and we outnumber you. Hear us out."

Volley attempted to roar again, causing Yellow to flinch. Blue then frosted her hand over, touching Volley in the center of the forehead. Volley began to cry, and Blue did the same. "Diamonds, you need to stop acting angry. You can't fake me out." Blue then pulled back, ending the spell, but Volley continued to cry.

Yellow relaxed, rushing over to the other two pearls. "Are you two alright?" 

Blue wiped off a tear, flinching slightly as it frosted part of her finger. "I am. I don't think she is, though."

Volley sat still on the bed, unmoving despite the tears streaming from her eyes. They stained anything they touched, which was clear by the tear marks on Volley's face. "Stop using your spell." She growled, but didn't attempt to roar.

"I'm not. Yellow, are you using a spell?"

"No. Volley, it isn't a spell."

Volley turned away, then closed her eyes and spoke something in the demonic language. A sort of projection appeared in front of them, shimmering.

Pearl stood there, looking frustrated. Her owner looked busy, not looking at her.

After a moment, she looked around, then straight into the projection view.

"Volley?" She asked, beginning to tear up.

Her owner, Pink Diamond, turned. "What? Did you say something, Pearl?"

"No, nothing my Diamond."

After Pink looked away, Pearl looked back to the projection.

She mouthed 'Tell Blush I miss you both very much.' She then shed a tear, and then made a closing motion with her hands.

Suddenly, the projection was gone. Volley looked to the ground.

The two other pearls looked to her. 

"You... you bonded to her?" Blue asked, looking to Yellow as if asking for confirmation.

Volley nodded. "That's how I can communicate with her."

The other pearls shook slightly. "That's why-"

"Yes, that's why I miss her so much."

Yellow touched her shoulder, whispering something in demonic. Volley stopped crying, and thanked Yellow.

"You need to tell White. You're not supposed to be this far from your bondmate. How are you dealing with the pain? I..."

Blue then moved her hands in a circle, putting her palm on Volley's forehead.

"You have a block pain spell running... How are you not out of energy??"

Volley shrugged. "I leech from multiple sources now. White, your diamonds, soldiers, whoever. I make sure they never notice."

"We're telling White right this second."

Volley roared suddenly, causing the two other gems to freeze and her to flinch. 

"Stop! We are NOT telling White anything, got it?"

The other pearls nodded reluctantly, and Volley released her spell.

"This conference is over." With that, Volley left the room, leaving Blue and Yellow standing shocked.

"We-" Yellow started, but Blue covered her mouth. 

"Shut it! She has a spell to hear us running in here. Let's go."

They left the room.

Now, the room was truly devoid of life.
