The first school day was tiring and made me feel tired. Looking out the bus window I realized I never really paid attention to the houses and how they were decorated. One caught my attention the most though. It had a beautiful garden in the front and had a pretty tree with a swing. Something stopped my thoughts.
"Hey, Lila," Gabby said.
"Yes, Gabby?" I smiled.
"Read this when you get home and maybe you'll understand why I was so stressed." Gabby shaking while giving the note to me.
The paper was crumpled up and looked like it had been put in water in a few areas.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone." Gabby cried.
I reach over and hug her.
"Promise," I whisper.
A few moments later the moment was ruined when we realized it was our stop. It's annoying when everyone tries getting off at one time because you can see people start to look annoyed when everyone is pushing against each other. So because of that I always decide to get off last. I say bye to Gabby and go straight home and into my room. Immediately I grab the note Gabby gave me and start reading.
It said,
"Dear Lila,
I'm so sorry about what I did. I didn't mean to. I just felt sad, mad, and tired. I cut myself which is a sin. I'm sorry but, I can't do this anymore so probably by the time you read this I'm gone. I'll miss you.
Love, Gaby."
Tears fell. Only a small note can really hurt you. I rush out of my room and start running to Gaby's house.
At Gaby's house, I see her mother outside with other people and I knew she did something to herself.
