Nico didn’t mean stab Will, but accidents happen.
“Three days?” Nico thought as he walked back to Will Solace after his conversation with Annabeth and Percy. He was glad to be leaving that conversation as Percy seemed a bit confused to say the least, and Nico really did not want to explain himself any further. Why couldn’t Percy just accept that he wasn’t everybody’s type?
“Alright Death Boy,” said Will with his blue eyes beaming, “time to rest,” and without waiting for Nico to respond he swooped Nico off his feet and into his arms like he was cradling a newborn baby.
A few heads turned to look at them, but quickly turned away as Nico gave them a stare that said, “Unless you want to die and be tortured in the Fields of Punishment for the rest of eternity you should mind your own business.”
Nico would have fought his way out of Will’s arms, but in all honesty he sort of liked it, in a weird sort of fuzzy feeling kind of way, plus he was also extremely weak from the events of the past few weeks. So Nico “put up with it” until they reached the infirmary.
“Okay Death Boy,” Will said as he put Nico down inside the infirmary, “you wait right here. I’ve got to go get some supplies.”
“Great,” Nico thought as Will left, “leave ‘Death Boy’ alone in a place where you are trying to keep people from death. Smart idea. Well, I guess I could just walk out. I mean, who’s stopping me…”
“Okay!” Will said, interrupting Nico’s thoughts, “time for your evaluation.”
“Excuse me?” Nico retorted.
“It’s standard procedure,” answered Will, “It won’t take long. Just follow me to your room.”
“Sure it won’t,” mumbled Nico as they walked.
“What was that di Angelo?” Will teased.
“Nothing.”
“That’s what I thought,” Will opened the door to a rather large room, bigger than the rest of the rooms the other patients were staying in, and led Nico inside.
“Now, let’s get started. What are you here for?” asked Will innocently.
“Ummm…” Nico said sarcastically, “I’m here because you made me come here. I mean, you literally picked me up against my will and took me here. You know that could be classified as kidnapping. I think I should call the police and h-…”
“Whoa there,” Will said, “slow down, I can’t write that fast.”
Will wrote down everything Nico said word for word, and then repeated it back to Nico and asked if he missed anything.
“Your impossible,” Nico sighed in exasperation.
“Alright,” said Will, “next question. Are you on any medications?”
“Are you serious?” Nico complained.
“I’ve never heard of that medication. Could you be more specific?” Will asked, looking confused.
“Gods you are so annoying. Can’t you just take my temperature or something?” asked Nico angrily.
“No. Next question…”
“I’m leaving,” said Nico.
Nico stood up and made for the door, but Will was much faster. He locked his long, strong arms around Nico’s chest and held him tight. Nico wouldn’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
“Let me go!” yelled Nico.
“You have to stay here three days!” countered Will, “Doctor’s orders!”
“You can just take those doctors orders and shove them…” Nico stopped abruptly as Will's grip slackened.
Nico stared in horror at the scene he saw as he turned around. Will Solace lay on the floor motionless, Nico’s Stygian black iron sword protruding from his side.
