Rain, Rain and Romance

Chapter Two

"Mom!!!!! Welcome back!!!!!! I thought you'd only be back next month!!!" I hugged my mom who just got back from her very long writers forum shit that was happening in Europe.

"Honey, how is school?"

"Schools right where it was before you left mom, nothing new, still the old boring building and kids!"

"Okay okay.. I'm gonna sleep for the rest of the day so ... " And she walked back to their room.

I walked back to my room and continued working to my canvas.

Being the only child is really hard since you don't really have anyone to share secrets with or run around the house with or even to stab to death. You know what i mean.

"B.." I turned my head to see Natalie with a whole of smudged makeup and wild tears running down her cheeks.

"Hey..Hey..whats up.. sit down..are you okay?" I was worried for her since Derek was a jerk and their relationship was super toxic to start with.

"He-he broke up with me!"She stuttered.

"Wait..i thought you wanted to break up..Nat-"

"yes..I wanted to break up with him..b..but he broke up with me first now and now it looks like i got dumped. Now...n..oones gonna wanna go out with me!"

Really?!

"Nat are you serious right now? That's why you're crying?? Because he dumped you and you didn't?? Nat come on, aren't we supposed to celebrate? Besides, there are literally hundreds of guys who wanna go out with you. "

"Can I stay over tonight?" She asked, her lips curving into a smile.

"No you can't!"

"Wait really?" She actually thought i wasn't gonna let her stay ouchies.

"What if?" I asked, walking towards my work desk.

"Is Jeremy coming over tonight?" She giggled. She did not just say that.

"NO HE ISN'T NATALIE. STAY IF YOU WANT.UGH YOU'RE SUCH A PAIN FOR ME!"

" I love you!"

She said, getting cozy in my bed. That's when i realized that time had run past me like a Ferrari on an open road and it was way past dinner and bed time.

"Nat, did you see my parents while you came up?"

"No..why?"

"They don't seem to be here. Let me go have a look downstairs. " Nat has a key to our house, so she basically lets herself in.

"Mom...? Is anybody home?" This suddenly feels like a horror movie, except the house is very well lit.

"Honey we're in our room, is everything alright?" Oops..my bad.

So, when my parents say they are in their room it basically means they are "busy" in their room so it's better i don't go in right away.

"Ah..yes mom..I just ..its nothing.. just call me when you guys are ready for dinner."

"The dinners on the table you can help yourself if you're hungry. I've made extras-"

she said as she walked outside the room.

So they weren't "busy".

"Your father was helping me arrange somethings i bought from Europe, I'll show you everything once you're free. I've made extras so you can go eat with Natalie if she wants some. We'll just eat once we're done!"

She said, sitting on one of the dining chairs.

"I'm glad you're back mom" I smiled as I peeked into the dinner servings.
