|Mya|
I knew that I only had a short amount of time before daddy got here. I needed to get August out of here as soon as possible to avoid a repeat of what happened the last time the two of them were around each other. I didn’t need the stress of having to choose one of them.
I faked yawned and looked at my phone to check the time. “It’s getting really late, maybe you should go home August.” I suggested hoping that he would just leave before daddy got here.
“Bae, it’s 6:33. I ain’t goin’ no where.”
I sighed. He thought he wasn’t going anywhere, but I was determined to get him to leave.
I had been so caught up in getting August to leave. that I didn’t even realized that he called me ‘bae’. I’m not even sure what your relationship status is, but I don’t even care. I’m fine as long as he knows that I’m his forever.
I checked the time once again. 6:42. Daddy was supposed to be coming around 7:00. I know I should probably stand up to daddy because I’m eighteen, and he can no longer control me, but it’s hard.I’ve been a daddy girl all my life, and I’ve always gotten everything that I’ve wanted. But now that I he won’t allow be to have what I want, which is August, I don’t really know how to react.
“August?” I said.
“Hm?” He responded.
“What are we?”
Just as August was about to respond, we heard the doorbell ring. That had to be daddy. I sigh and got up, slowly walking to the door with August behind . I didn’t want to answer because I knew arguments would come up.
“Hey daddy.” I cheered as I opened the door. It’s been a while since I saw my daddy, and although he didn’t approve of my relationship, I am always genuinely happy to see him.
He extended his arms for a hug, and of course, I hugged him. Unfortunately, while we were still hugging, I instantly felt his mood change.
“Mya, what’s he doing here?” He asked, referring to August, who was sitting on the couch.
There was a long silence between the three of us, while I contemplated about what I was going to say to my daddy. But I was really hoping that Shelby or her parents would come out of nowhere and save me from this.
“Daddy, I- August-” I stuttered. I wanted to stand up to daddy and say something, but I just couldn’t get the words to come out. I knew that if I didn’t say anything to daddy at this moment, things would be like this forever, and he would end up sitting in the front row of August and I’s wedding with an angry face. I came out of my thoughts, to see daddy trying to start shit with August once again. “Daddy!” I shouted. I was now or never. “I’m eighteen, and about to start college soon. I want you to support me in all my choices, but if you can’t support me and my love life, then you need to stay the fuck away from me.” I said, then covering my mouth, realizing that I had just cursed around my daddy, but then I uncovered it because he deserved it.
“Mya, you-”
I cut him off. “No disrespect daddy, but shut up! I’m gonna see August no matter what you think about it, so you can stop being disrespectful to him , when he hasn’t even done anything to you. And you you can’t get used to the idea that August and I are going to get married and have kids in the future, then you need to leave and never come back.” I pointed to the door. “But before you leave, you need to apologize to August.”
Without saying anything, daddy turned to August and opened his mouth to speak, but no words came. He turned away from August and walked towards the door, then left.
Did this mean that he was willing to give up our father-daughter relationship because he didn’t want August and I to be together?
Would he really so selfish to walk out on his only daughter?
What the hell just happened?
~~~
Sorry for the long wait...
Did Mya’s daddy really just walk out on Mya, and ruined their relationship?
What’s August and Mya’s relationship status?
