Sara falls to the ground, unconscious only to have Ray catch just before her body hits the cold concrete.
"Guys. Sara needs help," Ray says, holding the White Canary. They rush her to the ship while some others stay behind to finish up the mission. The whole team is shaken up by the sudden ailment of their dear captain.
"We should call the Time Bureau. They will know what to do," Ray says.
"I'm not listening to the ranting of any time pigs!" Mick roars, pulling out another beer from his back pocket.
"I agree with Ray, look at her. She needs help!" Amaya says in agreement to Ray's proposal.
"Mick, she is sick. Gideon?" Ray says, asking the AI for assistance.
"I agree with Mr. Palmer's decision. Captain Lance's body temperature is hypothermic. She needs to be placed in a coma for the best outcome. I am unable to do so without authorization. Seeing as though the Captain is the one in need of being placed in the coma, reaching out to the bureau is the only logical answer.
"Thanks, Gideon. Put Ava on please," Ray says, and Gideon calls the Time Agent.
"What is it Ms. Lance?!" an irritated voice says as Ava Sharpe appears.
"Ava. It's Ray," Ray says.
"What is it? Where is your captain?"
"In need of assistance. We ran into the Darhk and discovered the woman with him is Nora Darhk, his daughter. Well his daughter hurt Sara and we don't have the authorization to put her into a coma and we need help. She is becoming increasingly ill and needs to be put in a coma to save her life," he explains. Ava sighs and a shimmering gives way to open a portal. Ava steps through and it closes.
"Gideon code: Delta Alpha dash two nine five eight four nine," Ava says.
"Authorization code accepted," Gideon says, and they watch as Sara is placed into a coma.
"I will be taking over as captain until Ms. Lance is awake and well enough to perform her duties as captain," Ava says.
"What about your job at the Time Bureau?"
"I will update Director Bennett on policy and status."
"Okay. Should we take her to her room so she can be more comfortable?" Zari, the newest crew member, asks.
"I recommend it. Captain Lance will be most comfortable in a bed.
With that, Ava instructs Nate Heywood to carry Sara to her room. Ray follows with her IV bag above his head. Once in the room, Nate gently lays Sara on her bed and covers her with a blanket. Ava grabs the things that she got from the med bay and hooks wires up with Ray and they listen as Sara's heartbeat is repeated through the beeping of a machine.
With everything done and Sara peacefully healing, Ava orders everyone to the bridge to discuss everything happening.
"This is what is going to happen..." Ava says once everyone comes on board. All of a sudden, a time quake interrupts them. Gideon tells them that Grodd is in Vietnam. The team goes out for recon while Ava walks over to Sara's room. She pulls up a chair and sits down. "Sara Lance, why do you do this? You just have to worry me. Yes, I worry about you. It is no secret that I have a crush on you. I just wish I had the courage to say it to your face," Ava says, confessing her deepest down secret. "Ever since I met you, I have had this need to be around you. This fascination. This adoration. You have intrigued me. You make me curious. I'm not just curious about you; I'm curious about myself. You make me question myself. My sexuality specifically. I don't know what to think. All I know is that you are in the middle of it," Ava says. She hears the hiss of the door and sees Ray step in. "We finished with reconnaissance. We need to talk," he says, and Ava gets up and follows Ray into the bridge.
