Chapter 40 We Get Pushed Around

<3 Fionna's P.O.V <3

        "What are the prisoners doing here?" Flame Prince asked.

"Uh it doesn't matter right?" I smiled. "They won't do anything."

"Ah my Queen, you have been very bad. Your not wearing my ring." Oh crap... He brushed my bangs out of my face and it slightly burnt my cheek, probably causing it to leave a mark. "Maybe you should be the one that dies." I widened my eyes and before I could say anything he engulfed me in flames. I screamed in pain and fell to the floor. The heat was intense, I knew I was going to die, but the thought and feeling was gone. I was scared to open my eyes, but I did so. The flames were still there but lower. How... Flame Prince had moved back and looked pissed off. I looked behind me and saw Flame Princess who had her hand on my shoulder.

"Oh Fionna." She frowned. I was probably a mess right now. "Don't worry you will be fine." She told me. I hope she was right.

"So I see you learned the secret." Flame Prince said.

"Oh what on earth do you mean Flame Prince?" Flames giggled.

"You know damn well what im talking about." Flames shrugged as he said it.

"I don't know, what ARE you talking about?" She continued to giggle.

"Enough!" Flame Prince shot out his flames everywhere. Flame Princess quickly got in front of me and blocked them.

"I don't understand why you had to be this way." She said and shot up close to him.

"You shouldn't be interfering girl!" He grabbed her arms and started to transfer his heat to her.

"Flames!" Finn shouted.

"I'll be alright Finn, don't worry about me." She smiled at him and then grabbed Flame Prince by the arms.

"Your too much of a goodie toe shoes Princess. Why don't you team up with me and-"

"Like hell I won't!" She pushed him back.

"Fine then." He smirked. I watched something flicker inside of Flame Princess and spread everywhere. What was that? "You might feel a little funny Princess."

"Why?"

"I injected some of my specialized fire into you, I was saving it for the Vampire Queen, but you got in the way." I gasped as he smiled.

"I thought you were better than that!" I shouted. He looked at me for a second but went back to Flame Princess. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I looked up.

"Come on get up." Marshall said. I looked next to him and saw Marceline. She was holding her arm.

"Whats wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing important, just a burn. It will heal." She said shrugging a bit. There was a slight scream and I saw Flame Princess get pushed back by Flame Prince.

"Flames!" I shouted and went towards her.

"I know it's crazy but it burns inside. It hurts and Flame Prince is super strong. I don't know where it comes from." She groaned.  I turned to look at Flame Prince and glared at him.

"You piece of... I will kill you!" I grabbed a fallen piece of candy that was a little sharp and ran toward him. He just smiled at me and moved his hand a bit. What the... Before I could even touch him a sharp pain rushed through me. Fire barrier that was really thin, that you couldn't see. I fell to the ground and wrapped my arm around my stomach.

"Your such a fool Fionna. Why did I ever fall for you?"

"I was thinking the same thing." I said and smirked. 

"Fionna get back!" Flames shouted.

"This is my fight. I'm the one that made this mess and got with him." I tried standing up.

"Fionna!" Behind me I felt heat, Flames. I looked at her and saw the fire spreading more.

"You can't defeat me fools." Flame Prince created another barrier.

"His fire is too strong Flames, don't take the risk of getting really hurt." I said to her.

"I know your right, I have never seen as much fire in him, but I have to help somehow."

"Flames!" I turned back and saw Finn standing a couple feet away. "Don't do it yet!"

"Finn..."

"I have a plan, but it might not work."

"Finn... I can-"

"Come on take my hand." He reached out.

"Finn I will burn you." She said worriedly.

"It doesn't matter right now." Flames walked toward him slightly limping in pain and took his hand. It started to burn Finn's skin and he winced. " Well did this before and you go an insane amount of power. It ended badly but....we are near fire. I think it will be ok." Finn pulled her close. Was he going to kiss her?
