Chapter 6: L I F E ?

August 30, 2003

It's been a year since Taro died. He stuffed me into an airplane to Germany, his brother lived there with his girlfriend. Their names were Sanny and Julia. I clearly remember the words he told me.
"Remember, I love you and I will always be with you. Tell my bro I loved him more than he could imagine."
I remember bawling my eyes out, crying that he couldn't leave me like that, that it wasn't fair.
He held my hands and looked up to me. I saw stars and moons shining in his beautiful brown almond eyes that I adored so much.
He smiled weakly.
"愛してるよ。"
The last thing he said before his eyes went blank.
No stars.
No moons.
Emptiness.
愛してるよ...
