Warning: Mentions cutting, during their date. I'll put a warning emoji to symbolize the beginning and end of it.

Yoongi POV

The drive to the restaurant is silent, the only sound being the soft hum of the engine. When we finally arrive, he quickly steps out of the car and walks over to my side to help me out.

"What a gentleman." I tease him.

"I try." He bows, playing along. He looks up at me with a smile. "On a serious note.....you look amazing tonight."

"Thank you." I blush, looking down. "You do as well."

"This isn't an extremely fancy place....but it's one of my favorites." He says.

"It doesn't matter if it's fancy or not." I say. "As long as it has good food, I'm happy."

"C'mon." He grins, leading me into the diner.

"Hoseok-ah!" A waitress exclaims. "It's good to see you!"

"It's good to see you too, noona." He grins. "Oh, Yoongi this is my older sister, Dawon."

"It's nice to meet you." I bow.

"Aww, you're so cute! Polite, too. I'll take you to a table." She grins. She looks a lot like Hoseok. We follow Dawon to a small table, and sit.

"I'll take your orders now, so you don't have to wait." She says.

"I'll have my usual." Hoseok says. "Yoongi?"

"Oh, I'll have whatever he's having, with a water please." I respond. "Thank you."

"Got it. I'll bring our food out as soon as it's ready." She walks away.

"Tell me about yourself. It can be anything, I just want to know something about you." Hoseok rests his head on his hand.

"Oh. Um....I'm not sure. I'm not a very interesting person." I blush.

"Yeah right." He scoffs. "I think you're interesting. C'mon, tell me a random fact about yourself."

"I used to play basketball in high school. I had to leave the team, after.....after my parents started to abuse me. I couldn't do all of those exercises, with bruises all over my body." I look at the table.

"Oh....I'm sorry." He frowns. "You know, I think you're really strong. You've been through hell, yet you turned out to be an amazing person."

"You really think so?" I smile sheepishly.

"I do." He responds.

"Thank you. That means a lot to me." I say. "Now tell me something about you. I'm curious."

⚠️

"When I was in middle school, I was bullied a lot for my love of dance, and my appearance. People would say, 'Oh look, horse face is on his way!' Or 'Here comes ballerina Hoseok!'" He sighs. "I used to.....cut myself because of it. Mostly on my thighs, or chest."

"Hobi....that's horrible." I pout. "I bet you were adorable in middle school. And as for the.....you know. I used to do that as well. On my wrists, though. I usually cover the scars with makeup."

He gently takes my hand, and turns it over to look at the faded scars that I forgot to cover. He raises my wrist to his lips, and gently kisses it.

"I'm going to try and make you forget about all of that pain. I'll do my best to make you happy, Yoongi." He looks at me and smiles slightly. "I promise."

I start to tear up at his words. He notices, and reaches across the table the brush my tears away. "D-Did I say something wrong?!" He asks.

"N-No." I sniffle. "No one had e-ever said something l-like that, to me!"

"I'm honored to be the first. I'll keep that promise, Yoongi. I swear." He says. Dawon walks over to us, and places our food down.

"Thank you." I smile at her, wiping the remaining tears from my face.

"Thanks, Dawon." Hoseok says.

*Time Skip*

After eating, Hoseok drives me home. We were going to do something else, but it's already 9pm. We'd spent 3 hours in the restaurant, talking.

"I'm a little disappointed that this date has to end." He frowns.

"So am I." I pout. "But....I had a lot of fun tonight. Thank you, for taking me out."

"Thank you for agreeing to join me." He grins. "So....do you want to go out again sometime?"

"I'd love to." I smile. "So....I'll see you later?"

"Oh, wait. Here's my number." He takes a small slip of paper out of his pocket. "I almost forgot to give it to you."

"I'll enter it into my phone, as soon as I get inside." I say. We stand in silence for a moment.

"I should go." He sighs. "I'll see you later, Yoongi."

"Wait, Hoseok." I grab his arm to stop him. He turns back toward me, a bit confused. We stare into each other's eyes for a minute before he leans down and connects our lips. The kiss is slow and sweet, absolutely perfect for a first kiss.

He pulls away with a smile, licking his lips a bit. "Peaches?" He raises an eyebrow. I blush, and let out a small giggle.

"Yeah." I whisper. "That was....nice."

"It was." He agrees. "So, um....I'll text you, yeah?"

"I've gotta text you first, dummy." I giggle. "But yeah, you should text me. Bye, Hoseok."

I walk inside, looking out the window at him. I smile widely as he does a happy dance before getting into his car.

"So cute."
