CHAPTER THIRTEEN
FEBRUARY 12TH, WEDNESDAY

TOBIAS WACH

● ● ●

I hated when my good dreams ended. It was like finishing a really good movie or book. I always had that heavy feeling on my chest of mixed emotions. On one end, I was happy. Happy that I experienced the journey and that I received the ending I so desperately wanted. On the other end, the end that lingered, was the sadness. The sadness of realizing that it was actually over and there was no more to go back to.

The only thing about dreams was that you couldn't go back to them and trust me; I tried. I closed my eyes and tried to go back to it, but I couldn't. It most definitely didn't help since my house was always loud in the mornings but whenever I did have the chance to fall back to sleep...

I NEVER COULD CONTINUE THE DREAM!

Talk about one of the biggest disappointments of life. It got to a point where I decided to just write my favorite dreams down in a notebook so I could never forget them.

So that's what I did.

February 12th, Wednesday

● Brandon picked me up from my house and he said that I looked like the sexiest man on Earth.

● Then we went to the dance and we had a lot of fun. We danced close and he smelled really nice.

● We went out to eat. It was midnight and then he walked me home. (In real life that would've taken an hour but in the dream. It was no less than 5 minutes.) He told me that he loved me and that he always loved me.

● Then we kissed. Then I woke up. I didn't even get to see his face. Best part of the dream...ruined.

"That's why she didn't want your ugly ass! Now get out!" Cass hollered.

I sighed and closed my notebook. It was time to get ready for school. I placed my notebook in the drawer to my nightstand and then checked the time on my phone. I noticed that I had an email. It was from my professor; she was sick. Great, I had time to get ready for Valentine's Day.

"Hey, Isabel. Could you come over today? It's an emergency! It's about getting ready for V-Day!"

"You don't have class today?"

"No. Professor is sick."

"K but I won't be over til noon."

"Kk. That's fine. Thanks. Love you!"

I pocketed my phone and then gathered what I needed before I went down to the basement where my mom was.

"Morning."

"Morning, mom."

As always she was sitting on the couch with her coffee and cigarette. I really hated that my mom smoked cigarettes when she was stressed but what could I do? She was a grown woman. It was her choice to smoke.

"Sleep well?"

I smiled. "Yes."

"I'm happy to hear it. Do you got school today?"

"No school. My teacher is sick but Isabel is coming over today."

"This early?"

I chuckled. "No. I just decided to continue on with my morning routine since I wasn't able to go back to sleep. I'm just going to shower and change out of the PJs."
