I packed my few things and strapped them onto my horse. I meant to leave at dusk with nobody knowing where I had gone but it was Thunder Fist who caught me.

"Where are you going?" He asked and Flying blade walked over.

"I have to leave, I'm sorry." I said putting my hat on and saddling my horse.

"But you can't, we're all in this together." Flying Blade said stopping my horse.

"I can't stay, I... I. Crap." I muddered then kicked my horse to start it moving again. "Don't tell anyone I have gone." I said glancing at Flying blade as I passed him.

I didn't know if I really could just walk out on them, on Silent Wolf. It hurt, it hurt so much I found myself crying with silent tears through the pain.

"The sword's been stolen!" Someone yelled and I turned around shocked. "Wei Fang is gone!" I rode fast back and found everybody up and about trying to figure out what happened.

I put my tracking skills to work and rode off looking for Wei Fang and the green destiny. As I traveled I noticed that someone else was also tracking Fang so I went faster. After traveling for hours I could hear shouts and sword battle not far off. I broke into the clearing to see a frozen lake.

Silent Wolf was fighting Wei Fang and another man, on the ice. I couldn't ride out because the ice would crack under my horse's weight so I got off and ran lightly across the ice. I engaged the older man in battle as he was about to hit Silent Wolf in the back.

The older man, Iron Crow I knew him to be, was a very experienced fighter and it was hard to fight on ice. Silent Wolf was trading back and forth with me stopping Wei fang from escaping with the sword and fighting with the older man.

I blocked Wei Fang but I heard a sickening crack. I looked back to see Silent Wolf and the Iron Crow on cracked ice. I left Wei Fang and ran to Silent Wolf, sliding as I knocked him off the braking ice just as the Iron Crow and and I fell into the icy water.

Third Person POV-

"No!" Silent Wolf said as he saw Jade fall into the frozen waters. He looked up at Wei Fang who was staring torn at the hole in the ice before running off.

First Person POV-

I knew I was dying, I could feel it. It least I would die saving the one I loved. I smiled at the thought. It was so cold I couldn't feel anything. I did how ever feel bad for Iron Crow who had trained Wei Fang, and was like a father to him.

Something grabbed my arm but I couldn't think, my head was in pain, my side was cut and bleeding and I had already given up and was happy to die.

I broke the surface of the water and started to breath again. I couldn't see, I was just so cold.

"Jade?" I heard Silent Wolf's voice as my vision was starting to return.  He lifted my shaking form into his arms and was walking somewhere.

"I'm so cold." I whispered trying to hold onto the front of his shirt but I couldn't make my hands work.

"It's okay, just wait." His voice was shaky and full of worry. We got off the lake and into the trees. He put me down on the cold ground.

"Why'd you do that? why'd you save me?" He asked wrapping his cloak tightly around me.

"I'd die for you." I whispered without thinking then looked away from him in shame after realizing it.

"Jade." He whispered running his warm fingers on freezing cheek making me look up at him. He just stared into my eyes. He kissed my forehead before checking my side. "Let me stop the bleeding." He said and I nodded.

I grimaced in pain as he touched the wound under my arm.

"My horse, he's over there." I pointed wearily.

Third Person POV-

Silent Wolf rode back to the house of Te with Jade in his arms clutched to his chest. He met up with Yu Shu Lien who was also tracking Wei Fang.

Jade was in half unconscious when Silent Wolf gave her to the healers.

"Silent Wolf." Jade croaked as he turned to leave. He turned back to her side.

"Jade, rest." He smoothed down her unruly brown hair.

"Promise me you will return." She whispered as a tear ran down her cheek. Silent Wolf brushed it away and placed another kiss on her cold forehead.

"Nothing on earth can stop me." He whispered to her.

Silent Wolf left with Thunder Fist Chan, Flying Blade, Shu lien, and Snow Vase headed for Hades Dai's temple.

After Jade's wounds were dressed she slept far from peace,  fearing the worst for Silent Wolf. But more so fearing that he would never love her like she loved him.
