Looking up on my ceiling, I didn't notice what time it was. My head was resting over a little pillow I put over my chair. Studying sure is knowledge but reading the lessons all over and over again made me sleepy. The written and entrance exams are due tomorrow. But I can't get to seem get any sleep.

You wanna ask why I knew about the UA exams?

A week earlier...

Knock. Knock. Knock.

My eyes darted up from my laptop, to door to my apartment. I looked at what I was doing then decided to get up. Let's get this over with.

As I walked over, the knocking intensified. As soon as I opened the door, there I saw the landlady. Mrs. Cecilia Hyens. She had a strict face.

She became a mother at the age of 37 and now has 13 year old daughter, Samantha. She's a single mother.

Mrs. Hyens has short black hair just above her shoulders. Her dark brown eyes always seeming to be filled with fury. She was a worry wart sometimes. Also overprotective of her daughter and me.

She once was a sidekick of Endeavor [wew] but she retired being a hero after having her daughter. Also note the fact that she was as tall as you.

As you looked at each other, eye to eye, her gaze seemed to soften up. And for once in your lifetime, she smiled. But not her usual menacing one, it was genuine.

"I see that you're still awake"

Crud.

"But I'll let you pass this time"

Huh, she never does that.

"Do you want something Auntie?"

"Actually, I have news for you. You might not like it but you have to do this. If you want to capture HER"

Her. That wretched...

"Is bringing up the past truly necessary?" I sighed. "What is it?"

She took a deep breath, let it out, put her hands on my shoulder, and looked at me sternly.

"You are to take the UA Entrance and Written Exams next week"

"..."

"..."

Silence.

In my head, it seems like a thousand glasses shattered loudly.

UA. That prestigious hero school. She wants me to go there? Why? I get that she wants me to take my revenge at HER. It was not so long that IT happened to me.

I felt pressure from my arms losing. She sighed.

"It's not just I want you to take revenge"

She's a devil.

"I want you to know what path you want to make" she place her hands on my cheek. "Give this hero thing a chance. Maybe it suits you"

She then smiled again and slapped both my cheeks repeatedly.

"Ow..."

I placed both my hands to my cheeks and rubbed them.
