*********

Ever since the night that Sean cheated on me and we broke up, I have been avoiding him. Every chance he tried to talk to me, I made up some excuse, or I walked away. It hurt too much to talk to him.

Its been the same way with Max.

I haven't told anybody about the night we had together, and as far as I know, he hasn't either.

We both have pretty much both been trying to avoid each other.

He hasn't came around to mine much to hang out with my brother, because my brother goes to his, but when he does come over to mine, I normally stay up in my room or go to Chloe's.

Chloe has been there for me through all the Sean drama, but I haven't told her about Max and I.

I'm too ashamed of it.

Anyways, its been a little over a month since all the drama went down.

The whole school knows about Sean and I breaking up, so of course there are girls flocking around him at every moment of the day, with him being football captain and hot.

Right now I was at my house with Zach and we were arguing over a project.

"God, Charlie! We have to do it like this!" Zach shouted.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, I'm done. Do it yourself."

"Maybe you should stop PMSing!"

He did not just go there.

"A girl can not help PMSing. It is a part of their nature," I said in a matter of fact manner. "And besides, I'm not even on my period. I still have like..." I trailed off.

I should have gotten my period over a month ago.. Why is it so late? Its never more than a few days late, nevertheless  over a month.

No.

"Uh, Zach, I'm not feeling so well. I think I'm gonna go lie down..." I said.

Zach gave me a weird look, but shrugged it off. "Whatever, I'm going to Max's."

I ran upstairs to my room and went straight to the calendar that was hanging about my dresser.

Counting the days out, I should have gotten my period... 6 weeks ago.

Shit.

I grabbed my cell phone and quickly called Chloe.

"Hello?" She picked up.

"Chloe, you need to get over here now." I said, impatiently.

"Why..." She trailed off.

I groaned. "Just do it and hurry up."

I sat on my bed no knowing what to do.

Sean and I always used protection, how could this have happened. I was on the pill and I never forgot to take it.

Hold up, Charlotte.

You don't even know for sure yet, let's not assume the worst.

A few minutes later, a breathless Chloe was standing in my room.

"What's wrong?" She asked, in between breaths.

"Chlo, I'm over a month late."

Chloe's eyes widened. "You've got to be kidding me. I thought you and Sean used protection? And aren't you on the pill?"
