Then suddenly I found the energy to function again instead of opening and closing my mouth like a fish. I asked "What do you mean by enemies?"
"Why would you be my enemy ?"
"I haven't wronged you in any way, shape or form?"
"Have I?"
"Omg are guys in a cult or something! Are you forcing Jacob into this!?"
"You are!"
"That's why he thinks he isn't a good friend for me!"
I don't let anyone speak as I lay my exact thoughts out on the table for them to ponder and laugh at my expense.
I realise my mistake when instead of answers all I hear is laughter.
I go up to the person who seems like the leader and ask him, "How old are you guys anyway, u look too old to be laughing like toddlers?"
Immediately the laughter dies down, I guess they are sensitive about their ages too,hmm never thought I'd see that. Now that I had the attention I asked again,"What have you guys given to Jake?"
I met with stoic hard faces not nearly willing yo give any information, as I wait my reply eyeing each of them, the leader steps forth and says,"Bella we haven't done anything to Jacob, it would be best if you leave Jacob alone and return to town,Charlie must be worried for you."
Another one of them says,"Yeah stay away from the woods, you never know what monster is hiding there."
As I assess the situation in front of me and what to do next, another tan musclular guy steps out from the woods, with his head hung low.
Once he's near the group he raises his face towards his friends and asks," Why is the leach lover here?"
