Plant Earth is extraordinary in many ways.

Planet Earth holds Humans, and sustains with animals, plants, and many other needs.

Planet Earth has only a matter of days to sustain life, before the whole planet caves in.

"Violet get up!" said my mother. "The Lottery is going to begin soon!"

I slowly get up, and cross my legs on my bed. Barely able to process what my mom said to me. I put my hands around my face and muffle out a gasp. The Lottery! Oh, how could I forget this ever important day? But this day is not any ordinary day. Unlike me breaking my leg, hands, and nose. All in the course of a month!

I walk downstairs, grip the railing of my old broken wrist, and wonder  how I could possibly be the winner of the Lottery. I turn the corner down the stairs, and into the kitchen. My mom is sitting on a chair, with my dad watching the little TV on the Island. Volume turned up all of the way.

But something was wrong. My dad was home! Not only was he home, but the Lottery is unlike any other lottery that is given out with a set of money, and people sign a forn, comes in the mail, and take a vacation to the Bahamas. The point is, there are no Bahamas, Italy, China, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, ect. Why? Well Earth is going through a series of Earthquakes, all at 5.4 magnitude. Parts of the planet are sinking daily, the people live in fear.

The year is 2015, and this "dilemma" started in June.

It is August.

My family and I live in Chicago, Illinois, and some states have been sunken into the ocean. The infamous California, and also Florida, and one that shocked the whole country, Kansas.

With the whole world being attentive, and on their toes, the only option is to leave immediately. But where?

The Moon is the best option. A Bio-Dome was built there, to support life where nothing was going on. I am 17, and have to either live on the Moon, or die on this encaved planet. As my thoughts roar wild, the president is about to give his speech. My mom, dad, and I listen. The whole world seemed to stop.

"Citizens of the United States of America, and theworld, I give to youto you The Lottery. Those to you who have no idea what this is, is about to know. The Lottery is based on the issue of the deteriorating Earth,by massive Earthquakes. Countries are falling, and even three of our beveloved states have fallen as well." The President clicks his iPad, and shows it to the screen. "Names on there will be read by me, and only me. The people chosen will all fly to Washington D.C, and be put in a spaceship, with other people from around the world. Then, those chosen will fly to the Moon, and be on the newly built Bio-Dome. This holding only 150 People."

The President concludes, and is about to read the names of the people from around the world chosen. Those who get chosen will live, and those who will not, are to be left on the self-destructing Earth.

So what are my odds? 150 will be chosen out of 7 Billion people.
