It was the day set on Jeongguk's return. Taehyung, his boyfriend of 2 years, was excited to say the least.

6 months ago, the younger of the pair was caught vandalising a train station wall. Thus, conducting a further search of Jeongguk's belongings. He was caught with alcohol and a small amount of marijuana. The police decided not to sentence him to jail but to spend 6 months in juvenile camp as he was only 17. Among his return he was to spend a set amount of time in rehab. The time was not specified as it all depended on his behaviour after his return.

Even though it was completely against the rules, Taehyung and Jeongguk still spoke almost everyday over phone. It gave Taehyung the closure he needed to make sure Jeongguk was okay, alive and well.

The older of the pair, Taehyung, sat close to the door so he could open it within seconds when Jeongguk arrived. He played a couple games on his phone before he heard the sound of his doorbell echo within the rooms. Taehyung rushed to open a door with a huge smile on his face.

"Ggukie! I mi- hey what's that?" The smile disappeared as Taehyung was about to envelope Jeongguk in a hug until he noticed a neck tattoo that wasn't there before. He stepped back and then realised how different his boyfriend looked. Jeongguk's coconut brown hair now a slick black, longer and parted in the middle. Colourful hoodies replaced with black muscle shirts. the usual jeans and grey converse was swapped with black combat boots and black cargo pants. The once pale arms, now littered with tattoos. How had the cute boy he once knew change into this polar opposite?

"Surprise." Jeongguk smirked. Holy shit that was sickening.

Taehyung finally jumped onto Jeongguk, his legs wrapping around the younger's waist. Jeongguk let out a little grunt but was quickly replaced with a deathly chuckle as he grabbed Taehyung's thighs for support and nestled into his neck.

"I missed you too." Jeongguk mumbled.

"You look hot." Taehyung groaned. "I'm still gonna call you Bunny though."

"Okay baby." The younger chuckled. "How has school been?" He asked as he set the older down, the couple walked towards the kitchen in their small apartment.

"Eh, it's been okay. They've expanded the art department, I have my own studio now!" Taehyung beamed, Jeongguk couldn't help but stare at his boyfriend in awe. He missed the now red-haired boy so much.

"That's great baby, you have more room for all your paintings."

"How was, uh, that place?" It was clear to Jeongguk that Taehyung didn't like the fact that he had been caught up with that kind of stuff.

"It was awful but I made some friends. You'll meet them soon enough."

"So...no one else caught your eye?" Taehyung joked but Jeongguk saw the insecurity in his eyes.

"No, baby. I love you, it's always been you." He enveloped Taehyung into a hug.

"I missed you so much, it was awful living here on my own. Especially waking up with you not next to me."

"I'm sorry princess. I'm back now, I'm not leaving." The younger reassured.

"You promise?"

"I promise."

And thus, the couple started their new chapter in their lives. But what if there's more to Jeongguk's new look?
