Chapter 2

(Sherlock's POV still)

I leaped out of my chair, as I never heard this man come in. I gave Mrs. Hudson an accusatory look, but she understood what I was saying and shook her head.

The man kept his eyes focused on me, which I felt slightly alarmed at first, but then just used that to my advantage as I deduced him.

Alright, what do we have today? Male, mid-thirties, about 1.8 metres with a formal business suit underneath that ghastly tan trench coat. His cropped black hair could give away that he is a soldier,  but he seems to have let it carelessly go. Was he discharged dishonourably? A slight puffiness in the right sleeve meant he was concealing a kind of blade. But what for? He didn't seem like he would want to attack us at any point. He also seemed to have no visible scars or injuries, which also lead more to my disgraced soldier theory. Ooh, his clothes, though. They looked like they had shown no signs of travel, like they were just bought from the store. Rather odd, considering the moist weather of London at the moment. Finally, his poise dictates that he has been searching for something. Or, his clenched and slightly clammy fists reveal it is someone.

So, let's get the facts. Discharged soldier escapes military unscathed. Seems to be doing well financially, and somehow has perfectly clean clothes. Is worried about someone because he cannot find them. Err, how do I tie up these loose ends? This is simply-

John's annoyed voice snaps me back into reality. "Sherlock, care to explain what the hell's going on?" The man still doesn't break his gaze.

After another moment of silence, I finally decide to speak. "You didn't come here for yourself. You're anxious and frustrated. You're looking for someone and have yet to have produced any results. So tell me," I take a step forward, towards this man. "Who are you looking for?"

The man continues his unblinking stare. "The Winchesters are missing. I need you to help me find them."
