"what do you want chan," jisung sighed into his phone. it was a week after he met jeongin and he still hadn't made much progress with the lyrics. he stared down at his notebook. it was covered in lyric ideas crossed out again and again.
"i love you too sung," chan laughed. "changbin and i were just wondering if you wanted to come over and watch a movie with us or something to take a break from work." chan's voice turned serious. "seriously though, you can't keep on chugging coffee every night. it's not healthy."
"fine, okay, whatever." jisung groaned and opened his closet to find something to wear.
"great! we'll be at your house in ten," said chan before hanging up.
"oh by the way, did you guys hear?" changbin asked, looking at the movies available. "there's this killer that's been traveling around in korea. what's weird about them is that it's only one person, yet they kill people so efficiently and fast. what's even weirder is that every single time they kill someone, they always stab them in the heart with a knife and leave a red rose next to the body."
"that movie looks pretty boring," jisung commented. "you're right though, that is weird.""is he around this area right now?" chan asked.
"it doesn't seem like it," changbin answered. "he hasn't killed anyone around here yet, so we're safe for now." jisung didn't think much about the situation after hearing that.
"fuck, i ate too much popcorn," chan groaned.
"not my problem," jisung laughed and unlocked his phone.

jeongin:
hey
wanna meet up somewhere?
we should get to know each other better even though we've already talked over text
jisung:
sure
where and what time
jeongin:
white wind cafe
how about tomorrow at 10?
jisung:
sure, see you there
jeongin entered the cafe, the sweet smell of coffee hitting him. his eyes roamed around the area and he spotted jisung with his earbuds in at a table, slightly bopping his head to the music. jeongin thought he looked quite cute.
jisung had his eyes closed. his eyes fluttered open as jeongin sat next to him and widened when he realized he was here. jeongin smiled.
"so hey," jisung said, pulling the earbuds out of his phone and stuffing them into his pocket. "what do you want to know about me?"
"i don't know. maybe we should start with basic stuff. your favorite color, what you do, what you like, things like that."
"well, my favorite color is red, i'm a rapper and producer of the team 3racha, and i like travelling and cheesecake." jisung shook his head to get the hair out of his face. "how about you?"
"i don't have a favorite color," jeongin said. "i'm looking for a job right now, and my mom is sending me money so i don't die. i really like puppies though."
"oh." jisung had no idea what to say. he was just as awkward when meeting chan and changbin years ago. some things don't change.
the two sat in silence.
"oh!" jeongin exclaimed, startling jisung. jisung watched jeongin laugh. "did you hear about that killer going around in korea?"
"yeah, my friends told me about them. they told me not to worry about it because it didn't seem like the killer was around here though."
"huh," jeongin tilted his head. "when's your birthday?"
"september 14, 2000. you?"
"oh, so i guess i'm younger than you. mine is february 8, 2001."
jisung propped up his head with his hand. "february is a pretty month."
"like me." jeongin and jisung laughed. the laughter died down and settled into a comfortable silence.
