ROCK LEE! (PLOT BURST!)

Ayame yawned. What an awesome dream! She smiled. I wish it was real though. Too bad Shikaku, Yoshino, and Shikamaru are all made by Misashi Kishimoto...

"Ayame, when are you going to get out of bed?"

She froze. That voice.

"Wait. WHAT AYAAAAYAA!" Ayame screamed. "What are you doing in my room?!" 

Shikamaru stared at her like he was Choji and she had eaten the last chip in the bag. "Seriously, you are so weird. This is my room..."

"Wait. WHAT?" Ayame looked around and sweat dropped. "Oh, yeahhhh......Sorry Shika. I just thought...."

"It's okay. Still better than Ino."

Stifling a laugh, she acted oblivious and asked, "Who's Ino?"

"A girl in my class, I sure hope I don't get grouped up with her when I'm a ninja."

Hahaha... "I didn't know you were training to be a ninja, Shika." Ayame smiled. "That's awesome. I want to be one too, you know. I just....Don't....Have any skills." She frowned.

"Hm, well if you want, I can---" Shika was interrupted by Yoshino barging in and yelling.

"AYAME THE HOKAGE WANTS YOU HURRY GET READY TO GO!!!!" 

Ayame's eyes widened. "I almost forgot!"

"Wait, the Hokage wants to see you?" Shikamaru stared at her. "Why??"

"Sorry no time! Gotta go!" Ayame yelled, running out of the door. "I'll see you later Painappuru!"

Shikamaru's eyes widened. "I told you not to call me that!" He yelled, then sighed because she was already gone. "Ah, what a drag."

Yoshino laughed. "Honestly I'd think you like the girl."

Ayame sighed. Nervous nervous nervous.... She knocked on the door. "L-lord Hokage?" 

"Come in."

"Yes Lord Hokage." She opened the door. "Umm, what is it you need me for?"

Sarutobi smiled. "Well, how are you liking the village?"

Ayame couldn't help but return that smile. "I love it very much, Sir. The people here are so kind. I love the scenery and the weather is great."

"I am glad to hear that." He said. "I heard that the Naras are allowing you to stay with them?"

"Only temporarily, Lord Hokage." Ayame paused. "They are very good people. Umm...If I may ask something of you?"

"Yes, what is it child?" He appeared concerned.

"I would like to become a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf."

Sarutobi looked shocked. "Are you sure, Ayame?"

"Yes." Ayame gave a small smile. "I know it's hard, to be a Shinobi. You have to deal with hardships normal people don't have to deal with...You can watch every one of your comrades die in front of you, your loved ones and your friends. You can feel very alone in the world. Trust me, I understand how these things go. Even so, I feel like I need to be a Ninja. Because, if I'm not, then I don't know what else I would be."

The Hokage sighed. "Very well."

"YES!" Ayame cheered. 

"But," The Hokage continued, her face fell. "First I would like for you to demonstrate any Shinobi skill you already have. The academy students are about to graduate, you may not possess enough skill to be a true Ninja. So, I will have you go on a C-Ranked mission with a Squad of Shinobi. Depending on what the Squad Leader's opinion of your skill is, you may or may not be a Ninja."
