"Hey Min Jun! It's been a long time since I met you!"

"Right, you too! How are you?"

"Good. What about you?"

He sighed, "Jaehyun had been very stubborn. He doesn't want to marry the princess."

The other man laughed. "I met him. He's a good man and I honestly think that you should give him a chance to explain what he's really feeling. Maybe he doesn't want to go on with this wedding." He continued, "Think about it. If he's living in misery his whole life, the kingdom's going to fall. And you would not want that."

"But I can't just take out the law now. It's a new law and all new laws have to stand for at least five years before it can be removed. And he need's a queen. I had no other choice."

"You might not be able to take that law out. But there are many other rules that can be taken out. Just give him a chance to explain."

Jaehyun was called to the king's room once again. He dragged his feet there. This had become a routine and every time he went, he would be reprimanded for his "bad" behaviour.

However, when he went there that day, he was shocked to see that both his parents calm, no anger evident in their eyes.

"Jaehyun, dear, please take a seat." His mother said.

Jaehyun sat down, not knowing what was happening. "Now. You have to answer all this questions honestly," the King said sternly, yet not threateningly.

"Do you want to marry Princess Chun-hei?"

"No."

"Do you want to become the king of this kingdom?"

"Yes."

"Are you aware of the laws you have to follow?"

"Yes."

"Do you know you need a wife to become king?"

"Yes."

"And I can't take that law away. Do you know that?"

He nodded, "Laws can only be taken away after five years."

"And that means there are other laws that can be taken down."

Jaehyun looked up, not understanding what he meant.

"Have you slept with any workers in the palace?"

"No-o," Jaehyun almost choked, "Not in that way."

"Do you like Jiyun?"

Jaehyun gulped looking up at his mother. And she too, was awaiting a reply. He nodded, "I love her." He did not know where that came from but he knew he had to get that point across. His mother teared up.

"Then that's done then," The King said as he signed on a piece of paper, showing it to Jaehyun.

"What does this mean?" Jaehyun asked.

"I'm telling you to go."

Jaehyun was confused.

"Go. Go find Jiyun, I'm cancelling the marriage with the princess."

And Jaehyun did.
