Something was seriously off with Yoongi.
Sure the older is usually quiet and keeps to himself sometimes, but there are times where he is openly honest with them about how he feels; when he smiles and laughs when he is genuinely having fun; when he quietly shows concern for their wellbeing; when he silently passes them bottles of water without looking at them as a way to look after them and so much more.
But, the kind of silence the oldest was pretty unusual, even for him.
Because while the day had begun normally, with his phone alarm ripping him straight out of dreamland by blaring loudly down his ear. That experience was not pleasant in the slightest.
Note to self: Don't sleep with your phone directly pressed up against your head unless you're up for risking enduring an short, but intense round of pure ear rape .
Never again.
Anyway, he went about his day as usual dragging himself to the bathroom and carrying out the ridiculously tedious task of showering, brushing his teeth; throwing on some semi-decent clothes and all while longing that he had the time to rush back to his bed and just bury himself in comforting embrace of his pillow and duvet so they can smoothly drift him back into dream land for just a few more minutes(hours).
One can only hope for the realistically impossible.
With an heavy sigh he quickly finishes up in Guinness record time, and then he rushes downstairs with the delicious aroma of food wafting from the kitchen sparsely fuelling his sleepy body too spur on. Once he gets down there, he finds the eldest setting up the table and dishing up everyone's breakfast as usual but, he looked more nervous for the near future.
This became more evident when, the others piled into their seats; started eating their breakfast while having some friendly conversation with another, yet Yoongi didn't join in on the casual conversations like he usually would, instead he timidly avoided eye-contact with everyone else while slowly eating his food out of quiet obligation as to not seem suspicious to his roommates despite clearly lost his appetite.
It wasn't long until one of his fellow bandmates caught onto the eldest's uncanny silence. "Hyung? You've been unusually quiet. What's wrong?" Hoseok asked, his voice laced with genuine concern and worry.
"O-oh I'm just nervous about... um, our new album and if our fans will like it. N-nothing really" Yoongi half-assedly responded, not looking his bandmate in the eye, as an obvious attempt to quell his best friend's worries without telling the truth.
"Okay, as you say so hyung" Hoseok replied, despite knowing better that the eldest's nervous demeanour couldn't just be chalked up to being just about a new album, deciding to not press the subject any further.
Which he didn't find strange because he knows that Hoseok wasn't genuinely a confrontational person and he didn't try to constantly pester or push people to reveal anything when they weren't mentally or physically ready. This was both a blessing and a curse, depending on the situation. A blessing, because it prevents an potentially explosive argument due to the other person getting defensive. Also a curse, because the actual issue might be addressed too late to actually help or intervene.
After finishing breakfast, they simply drove to the studio to practice chorography as usual, except the atmosphere during the car ride was rather tense between the two rappers, judging by the hesitant side-way glances they exchanged between one another. It was if both of them had something to say, but they couldn't gather the confidence to do so. Things were going along pretty smoothly as everyone became more at ease despite their growing exhaustion; him teasing his fellow idols cheekily; the others pretending to be offended while lightly scolding him with no real annoyance behind them. Even Yoongi and Hoseok stared to loosen up and reduce the awkward silence between them by causally conversing with one another during their 5-minute breaks. It seemed like all was back to normal. Crisis: averted. All's well that ends well right?
That was until their dance practice was abruptly interrupted by an urgent looking staff member.
The words that they said through ragged breaths, is what sounded deafening alarm bells in his (and probably everyone else's) mind(s).
"There are two men in the r-reception area, c-claiming to be Min Yoongi's parents and t-t-they're requesting permission to see him as quickly as possible!" The staff member spluttered out with the sparse amount of breath left in their worn out lungs.
Then he slowly turned around and he saw the shock and horror grace Yoongi's features, he'd never seen him look so afraid in his life. What the eldest said to himself sent chills down his spine and cause his concern for the older grow even more.
"N-no not t-them, l-last night s-should've j-j-just b-been a-a s-sick dream not reality"
A/N: It's good to be back :)
