chapter 2

My mom went out to look at what the hell that thing was, apparently it's just a piece of the hide, so it's pretty obvious that it's dead.

When Silver, Michael, and the Diablos twins had entered Bri's dragon cave, they were a bit confused as to why one of her guildmates were here, and why he was asleep against Phantom. Bri had was them and went up to the group, an unreadable expression on her face.

''What's wrong Bri? And why is Bryan here?'' Bri let out a sigh before telling them what Bryan had told her.

''And because of that, I have reason to believe that they're watching him when no one is around, meaning that he likely isn't safe when he's alone.'' Everyone was silent as they processed Bri's words.

''So you mean to tell me, that Bryan is the younger half-brother of mine and Brandon's counterparts, and that they are likely stalking him?'' Bri nodded and Ritchie let that sink in.

''Does this mean that the Bryan from Selode was your half-brother?'' Ritchie thought for a moment, unsure if how to explain it, but Brandon did.

''Kind of. We do have the same dad but both of our mothers divorced him when they found out about the other family, Bryan and his mom stayed with us, than 7 years later, our mom was marrying his mom. So he's also pur step-brother.'' Everyone stared at him Ritchie, who just looked at them and nodded as if confirming Brandon's words.

''As much as I would love to continue talking down here, Bryan needs sleep and I don't think we should wake him up. So we should probably go talk in my house.'' The other leaders nodded before leaving the cave one by one, with Bri being the last one.

She turned to the dragons before speaking.

''Take care of him, and let me know when he wakes up.'' The dragons all nodded at their queen before they went back to silently doing their activities.

When Bryan woke up, he was still in a sleepy daze. He was leaning up against a smooth, comfortable surface, and he almost fell right back asleep. Until he realized what the surface was.

He snapped awake and stared at the large white dragon with wide, curious eyes, before he realized that there were multiple other dragons in the room. All of which, were watching him. Than, he noticed another dragon that was curled up next to him with it's head in his lap. It was smaller than the large dragon but still big enough to carry Bryan.

He felt a little uncomfortable with all the dragons looking at him, but... he still felt safe here. The large white dragon seemed to notice this, so he put one of his wings around Bryan and the smaller dragon before it sent a look to the other dragons that was letting them know that Bryan didn't like being looked at.

Bryan sent a thankful look to the white dragon and said a quiet 'thank you' to which the white dragon smiled him and nuzzled him. Bryan heard what sounded like footsteps, and the dragon moved his wing off of Bryan so that he could see who was there.

Bryan looked up and was surprised when he saw all five guild leaders, but wasn't sure if he should ask why. The smaller dragon noticed and sat up before nuzzling his face.

''So Bryan, I told the other guild leaders about your... problem.'' Bryan shifted a little, feeling a bit uncomfortable about it being mentioned, and a bit worried about how they are going to react.

''So we've come up with a plan to make sure the evil twins don't do anything to you.'' Bryan perked up a bit at this, wondering if he might actually feel safe outside of this cave.

''What is it?'' Bri smiled at him before answering.

''Until we get things sorted out with the counterparts, you'll be staying with one guild leader during the day for three days, and they'll bring you here at night, after the three days pass, you'll be switching to another guild leader. This tomorrow you'll be with me, next with Silver, after that with Michael, after that with Ritchie, than the final time with Brandon. Does that sound good.'' Bryan thought for a moment before nodding, the small dragon at his side continuing to nuzzle him.

''What's the name of these dragons?'' Bri smiled before answering his question.

''The big white dragon is Phantom, and probably my best friend. The dragon that is extremely cuddly with you is Clarity, and she definitely likes you.'' Bryan tilted his head in confusion, making it obvious that he didn't know what she meant by that.

''Clarity is only comfortable with me coming into contact with me, and even then she's usually only comfortable for a few seconds before she runs off and hides.'' Bryan looked surprised at this, while Clarity ended up wrapping one of her wings around Bryan.

Silver watched for a moment before whispering something into Bri's ear. Bri's eyes lit up as she liked his suggestion. Bri than whispered Silver's suggestion to the other guild leaders, to which they all agreed would be a good idea.

''Hey Bryan.'' Bryan looked back towards the guild leaders as Bri continued.

''Why don't you take Clarity with you?'' Bryan and all the dragons in the sanctuary froze before looking at Bri.

''W-what?'' Bryan was shocked that Bri would as him something like that.

''She's likes you better than me, she never really liked being cooped up in the sanctuary, and she can give you more protection.'' Bryan was silent for a moment before turning to Clarity.

The dragon nodded and Bryan looked back to Bri before giving her his answer.

''I agree.'' Bri smiled brightly before pulling out a strange necklace.

''Take this, it will allow you to communicate with all dragons.'' Bryan nodded before putting the necklace on.

''You should probably go back to sleep, your first three days with me will start tomorrow.'' Bryan nodded and leaned back against Phantom whole Clarity put her head back in Bryan's lap.

The guild leaders left, deciding that they will tell their guilds a bit of what's going to be happening. Bryan fell asleep soon after they left, hearing the quiet chatter of the other dragons.
