[ Narrator's POV ]

The platinum blonde woman wakes up groaning in pain. Her eyes slowly open but she can barely see anything due to the darkness. Realising she's locked in a cell, she smirks knowing she's escaped one once, so she'll do it again. Whoever locked her in here apparently didn't think about her magical abilities.

However, this is no ordinary cell. Her smirk fades away and an expression of pure terror takes its place as soon as it dawned on her — she can't use her powers.

Suddenly, there's a sound of doors squeaking and she sees a figure of a man with what seems like a dark shadow following close behind.

"Who are you? Why did you bring me here?" She speaks harshly, trying to conceal her fear.

The man and the shadow just cackle loudly, obviously amused by the young woman's attempt to seem fearless.

"Oh Elsa, you can't hide from me. Admit it, I know you're absolutely terrified. I know more about fear than anyone in this world, trust me." The shadow says. With his skin grey and his hair and clothes completely black, eyes portraying nothing but hatred, it's needless to say that he looks quite intimidating.

Next to him stands a man about 50 years old, dressed in his formal clothes, his stature bursting with arrogance, making it clear that he thinks he can take what and who he wants and bear no consequences for his actions.

"H- how do you know my name?"

"I've known you since that little accident with your sister, my dear. I just told you, I'm an expert in fear and you've been feeling it for a good amount of years, haven't you?"

"I don't understand, what do you want from me?"

"What could we possibly want from you except your powers, girl?!" The man's gruff voice echoes through the dungeons and Elsa's breath gets caught in her throat as she realises they might have already taken her powers. But why would they still keep her alive if they did? Also, it couldn't be that simple to do such a thing, right? "She's pretty, but not especially smart." He scoffs.

"Your majesty, I'm sorry to interrupt, but it's time for the council meeting." A servant comes in but the man simply waves him away.

"Tell them to wait, I'll be there soon enough."

"Yes, your majesty." The servant bows and goes away.

Your majesty? So he's a king? I've seen a lot of royal people, but I don't remember this one? Elsa thinks, her heart beating so loud she hopes they don't hear it.

The king unlocks the door of the cell and steps in. Elsa cowers under his stare and tries to get away from him but ends up backed up against the wall. He rests his hands on her hips making her flinch and try to push him away but fails. He slams the blonde's frail body against the hard surface of the wall and she whimpers in pain hanging her head down. His fingers roughly tilt her head back up and make her look him in the eyes.

"After I get what I want from you, we will have so much fun together." He chuckles darkly and leaves the dungeons after locking the cell.

Completely shocked, Elsa doesn't move a single muscle, unable to comprehend what is happening to her.

"Don't worry, little dove." The shadow tells her. "You'll get used to him. He won't hurt you much. If you obey, of course. And he has a daughter, the same age as you, I suppose. I'm sure you'll get along very well!"

Elsa's eyes widen at his words. He won't hurt me much?! If I obey?! And he has a daughter that is my age?!

"I must go now. But don't worry, we'll see each other again."

With that, the shadow disappears.

Elsa slides down the wall and weeps hugging her knees. She's been through a lot so far, but she's never experienced something like this before. Locked in a cell, surrounded by strangers, without her powers, not knowing where she is and to top it all, wondering if she'll ever see her sister Anna or her home ever again.

She wipes her tears away fiercely but to no avail, for they keep falling and she can't stop them. A sob crawls up her throat and she screams and kicks the floor with her feet, not knowing what to do with herself.

Is this what my life's going to look like now?
