"Lady Anne, " I spoke, however heavily involved in my embroidery. "How do you find the royal court?" I expect a laconic answer, yet Lady Anne always seems to differ from what I expect, but never in a troublesome respect.
"I find the royal court highly interesting, I am ever so grateful to have the opportunity to work for you, your highness, " She curtsied. I rather like Lady Anne, she holds much dignity whilst still remaining humble.
After the passing of a hour, I sent Lady Jane back to her chambers to give myself the chance to converse with Lady Anne.
"So, Lady Anne, may I be informed of your upbringing?" I inquired, raising my eyes from the piece of needle work that lay in my hands.
"Oh, your majesty, of course." She stood, ironing her dress with her pale hands. "I was raised in the french court and my family consists of my mother, Lady Elizabeth Howard, my father, Sir Thomas Boleyn along with my brother and sister, George and Mary Boleyn, " She spoke, before turning her pale cheek a shade of rose. "I'm terribly sorry for my rambling, your majesty, for you were not to want to hear my nonsense, "
In return, I gifted her a small smile, to indicate she was incorrect in her method of thought.
"Not at all, Lady Anne, for I am interested in your life, " I placed my embroidery upon my dresser. "I take great interest in my Ladies and getting to know them fully, "
"Sorry, your majesty. May I assist you in any of your tasks?" She smiled back, the rose draining from her face.
Amused by Lady Anne's politeness, I gave a small quiet piece of laughter, motioning her to take a seat besides me.
"I'm sorry your majesty, were my words of inappropriate choosing?" She apologised after completing my request, her jade garments gently flowing to the floor.
"Absolutely not, Lady Anne, you were just amusing, a very credential skill," I smiled, taking her hand in my own. Of course I knew the risk of this action, but Lady Anne is a woman I would like to become emotionally closer to.
