It was a house in Air Force Station Bagdogra, West Bengal , long and narrow roads with lots of trees, a few street lights and an old park with swings near by. The house had a typical set up in blue & white paint, slanting roof, three bedrooms, big French windows, lots of doors, a front porch & a small unkempt garden with a big tree occupying the corner. The house carried a strange & a powerful aura of its own and yet there was nothing unusual about it. I must have been around 10 years old at the time.
Anyway a few days after we moved there , my dad had to leave almost immediately to a nearby town for an inspection, leaving me and my mum all alone in that big old house. It was an ordinary day like any other, I was helping my mum unpack , move Boxes and stuff. Finally we finished our dinner and went to bed. Suddenly I was woken up, being dragged by my mum in the middle of the night from one room to another and then outside the house all around the fencing, I was unable to grasp the situation, I was shaking and crying asking what was going on but she paid no attention to me and kept saying that we are not scared and that she was making sure that nobody was there. I don't remember much after that , the next day I woke up to the sound of sirens and cars a few blocks away. My mum never told me what happened that day until a while ago when she narrated me the whole incident. That night my mum was suddenly awake and saw a tall, manly figure in overalls , standing in our corridor , near our bedroom , just staring.
All of the sirens and the cars a few blocks away were about a fighter pilot who died that night in a plane crash.
My mum doesn't know if it was only her imagination or if she really did see a man that night only to find out about the death of a pilot the very next day. Well she says she'll never forget and I literally have goosebumps right now.
