Natsu x Lucy ~The future child pt.2

Natsu and Lucy had left the guild a little bit earlier. Apparently since Nashi was their child they had to bring her with them to stay with them for the time being. Especially since Erza forced them.

FLASHBACK:

Natsu and Lucy were about to leave the guild but Erza stopped them clearing her throat in a "aren't you forgetting something" kinda way. Natsu and Lucy stood at the door way with a confused look on their face. "Eh, is something wrong Erza?" Lucy said quite puzzled." Aren't you forgetting something" Natsu scratched his head "I don't think so". Erza then sighed. She grabbed Nashi and put her on both Natsu and Lucy's arms. "here." Erza said about to walk back until the two started protest. "what do you mean here?!!" Natsu began "Me and Natsu have no idea how to take care of a child!" Both Natsu and Lucy began to flip out until Erza shot them a look to silence them. "Well you two better begin to figure it out because that child is your responsibility. "But!-" "You are the ones decided to have in the future so Nashi is your responsibility. End of discussion!" Erza stormed away from the two leaving them with looks of bafflment on their faces.

So Natsu and Lucy were stuck on child duty for a while. As they walked back to Lucy's home ( Thats where Natsu and happy almost always are, in case you didn't know.) They saw an ice cream cart. Nashi looked at the ice cream cart then back Natsu and Lucy. Lucy saw the look on Nashi's face then thought of something. "Nashi, do you want some ice cream?" Lucy said with a caring smile. Nashi thought about it for a moment, then agreed to have some ice cream. When they approached the cart and they allowed Nashi to choose any kind of cone she wanted. She decided on a double scoop of strawberry vanilla swirl. As Lucy was about to pay Natsu stopped her and pulled out his wallet. Lucy gave him a puzzled look. Natsu turned to her and grinned giving a thumbs up. Don't worry Luc, I got it!" Lucy's heart began to beat and her face tinted slightly. Natsu paid the ice cream lady (Yeah an ice cream lady) and received the ice cream giving it to Nashi. "taking the family out I see." The ice cream lady said. Natsu and Lucy had trouble registering those words. When they figured out what he meant Lucy was the first to react. "Oh no no! Me and Natsu are jus-" Lucy tried to explain. "Oh no need to explain dear", said the elderly woman, "You have a lovely family." The woman gave Lucy a kind grin, Lucy saw this and softened her face into a warm smile. Natsu saw this and felt his heart skip a beat for a moment and his face lightly tinted pink on his cheeks. Lucy then saw the sun begin to set then turned to Natsu, Natsu was looking towards her with blush tinted on his face. To her he looked quite cute. Lucy began to lightly giggle "Natsu" Natsu snapped out of the trance he was in. He looked up at Lucy and she was giggling Natsu realised he had turned red and he began to fluster. "Eh- wha- what's going on?!" Lucy began to laugh. "I said are you ready to go now" Lucy said happily. Natsu have a startled look then smiled and nodded. Nashi looked at her parents in wonder as she finished off her ice cream. She looked up realising they had taken both her hands and were guiding her back home.

Once they arrived at Lucy's apartment, the first thing Nashi did was run in like a person who is seeing their house for the first time in a long while. As Nashi toured the apartment, Lucy looked at Nashi with a longing face. Natsu laughed when Nashi spun around and began to run around and chant. "I'm home! I'm home!" through out the hole apartment. When Lucy saw this she couldn't help but to giggle. Natsu looked at the joy on Lucy's face and grinned. Suddenly their was an out burst of rumbling in the home. All three of them stared at each other. Wondering what of the sound. They then heard it again and realised their stomachs had growled. They all began a fit of laughter and then calmed down enough to hear Lucy speak, "what do you want for dinner?" Lucy asked happily. "Pot roast" both Natsu and Nashi said eagerly. They both looked at each other and began to chuckle and grin. Lucy smiled and agreed at what they wanted.

After dinner, Natsu, Lucy, and Nashi decided it was time for bed. They all were to bunk in Lucy's room for it was the only bedroom in the apartment. Nashi and Natsu were sound asleep, yet Lucy just couldn't seem to close her eyes. Her head was full of thoughts and questions unanswered. Why did she and Natsu have a child? where did she come from? Did it mean she and Natsu were destined to be together? All these many questions raced through Lucy's head. Her heart began to pound and she couldn't take it anymore. Lucy slipped on her slippers and climbed up upon the roof. She sat their allowing the cool night breeze blow across her face.

Natsu soon woke seeing Lucy not their in the room. He looked around through the whole apartment not finding her. He then caught her scent and followed it. When he got to where Lucy's scent had lead him he felt puzzled to be upon the roof but the saw Lucy sitting down there, looking out afar. He went up to Lucy quietly and sat down next to her. Feeling abit awkward for the silence he decided to break it. "Yo, Luc" Natsu said slightly startling her. Lucy looked up and saw him and gave him a gentle smile. "Oh, hey Natsu." Lucy said slightly nervous of the moment. Natsu grinned. "It sure is nice out." Lucy smiled gently. "Yeah, it is." They were silent for a moment until Natsu spoke up. "Hey, Lucy." Lucy looked up acknowledgingly. "Yes?" Natsu not looking down from the sky. "I'm pretty confused about all of this, and mostly find it hard to believe." "Yeah I kinda understand the feeling" Lucy said a bit tired. Natsu then gave a sigh. "But. As far as the state relationship between us is. I'm not sure as to what feelings are quite towards you." Lucy slightly lowered her head in anguish. Unsure of what to think. "I see" Lucy said dismayed. "But, that doesn't mean I don't have feelings for you." Nastu said giving her a look of reassurance. Lucy looked up feeling her heart skip a beat. She gave him a sensual smile. "Well I just I'll wait for you, because, I'm surely in love with you, Natsu." Lucy said giving him a genuine smile. "Lucy." Nastu gave her an intense stare feeling as something pulled at his heart slightly. "Well, I suppose we should head back in to get some sleep. We have a long day tomorrow." She said with a grin. Nastu looked up in realisation with his cheeks slightly tinted pink. "uh-r-right!" Nastu called out. He had no idea as to why he stuttered out his words. He never stuttered. Did he really have romantic feelings for Lucy? Well only time will tell.
